Hi @computerscience23

I don't know whether this will help or not. But, I found this another way of submitting biometrics in Abu Dabhi instead of Dubai and not requiring us to quarantine for 14 days (A little expensive compared to Dubai tho). It goes as follows:-

Dubai to Abu Dhabi is just 1.5 hours drive . After entering dubai, wait for the Covid test taken during immigration to come negative (24 hours/ safer side 48 hours), have to be in quarantine until you get -ve Covid Test report, take another COVID 19 test in dubai and then travel to Abu Dhabi within 48 hours of the Covid test result.
Give biometrics and then come back.

It's not about how expensive it is. It is illegal. Sure, it is doable but if you get caught, you're screwed. That's what rules state:

For travellers who spent less than 14 days in other emirates before arriving in Abu Dhabi

If you are arriving in Abu Dhabi after spending less than 14 days in other emirate, you must:
  • get a PCR test done at Abu Dhabi’s entry point
  • register in the quarantine system and receive an electronic band
  • self-quarantine for the remaining period of 14 days, after deducting the days you spent in the other emirate
  • get a second PCR done test on the 12th day of arrival.
It clearly says 14 days quarantine. Source: https://u.ae/en/information-and-services/justice-safety-and-the-law/handling-the-covid-19-outbreak/travelling-amid-covid-19/quarantine-guidelines-for-travellers-to-the-uae

So, I would never risk it and would never recommend this to anyone just for giving biometrics. It is not worth it.

Like I said before. It just came in one of the whatsapp groups I'm in. So, I just told you thinking it would help. But, I never knew about this. If I would've known, I would've never shared it here.
Then sadly there's no other way.

In the current trend, I guess all the appointments until 29th November are booked. Better would be to book the next available date whichever it is orelse you'll lose that day's appointment too.

When I booked mine on 5th Nov around 16:00 appointments were available from 19th and day before yesterday, when my friend booked it, it was from 29th. So, Don't wait any longer and book yours ASAP. Anyway, you even have the option to reschedule it later.

Good luck

Even if we give biometrics in other countries.. our passport must be submitted in our home country
Are you sure , I applied from Oman plus given biometrics from Oman itself & now waiting for Visa process , but now my work visa getting over and i am returning to India. Can i have liberty to submit passport here or i have to travel Oman again

You can see these info in ircc website..itvsays wherever you give your biometrics you should submit your passport only at your country of residence

No, that's not true. Your visa might still get processed at Oman office; however, you can always ask IRCC for letting you submit your passport in India. There are many cases just like yours on this forum as well.

Has anybody over here recently visited dubai to give his or her biometrics? Could you please share the experience i.e how many days we need to be there? Can we just book the appointment and submit the biometrics? Or there are any complications for indians?
