Let’s discuss one of my another situation .how I can calculate my six months of processing or further.

I done my upfront medical on 15 dec 2020 n my dependents did it on 12 dec 2020.I submitted my file on 28 jan 2021 but my husband got email on 7 jan 2021 from health department Canada for my further tests.as he is dependent applicant he did not check his mail so I did not go for further tests .

I submitted my file on 28 jan 2021 with up front medical n I got biometric request on 23 feb 2021 but my medical did not updated .in may by chance I visited my panel physician to ask abt my medical as I did not get any call from them as well as I did not get email as a PA for further tests .so I went for further tests in may n my medical passed on 11 may2021.
so I have to calculate my application processing time from may 2021 or wat.y I did not get mail for further tests .y they send it to dependents Emil id which we just checked ltr by chance .is that reason for delay.

I ll appreciate your valuable comment.

Processing time is calculated from AOR, this will Include other activities as well like medical,
biometric etc.

actually, quoting some of LegalFalcon's posts in each month thread:

IRCC states that most applications are processed within 6 months or less. The 6 months processing time starts when your application meets the completeness check and NOT from the AoR date. The completeness check is the first stage of the application processing, and usually happens around when your medicals are passed. To know the exact date of the completeness check (R10), you will need to see your GCMS notes

Even rcmp submitted on 8 April 2021 which they requested with biometric.

you probably passed R10 when they requested biometrics in february. passing medical is not a hard rule for r10, especially not during covid. getting the biometric request one month after is a good sign. the rcmp request with biometric also confirms that that was your r10! you're all good!

The six months processing time starts from the day your application passed R10 (completeness check) and NOT from AOR.

As of now the 6 months processing time frame no longer holds true.

As per IRCC's annual 2019 annual report, it takes 8-9 months for an application to process. This was pre-COVID
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...nnual-report-parliament-immigration-2019.html

How long did it take to process an Express Entry application?
Table 35 displays the time, in months, that IRCC took to process 80% of applications under each program. In 2019, IRCC did not meet the processing standard of finalizing 80% of all applications sourced via Express Entry within six months. The processing time for Express Entry, overall, was eight months. As an alternative measure of processing times, 60% of applications finalized in the 12-month period ending on December 31, 2019, were completed within the six-month service standard.

Data is operational and as such should be considered preliminary and subject to change.

  • Processing times refer to the time in which 80% of applications were finalized by IRCC. The processing time is measured from the day a complete application is received until the time a final decision is made by an immigration officer.

Post COVID these times have further increased.
