I think they updated it around the beginning of March:

Citizenship and Immigration Canada does not accept FBI police certificates issued by FBI-approved third party private companies. Only police certificates issued directly by the FBI will be accepted.

Thank you again snowisland.

Unfortunately I cannot use a channeller (I am applying for an Australian visa) as I am not a US citizen or PR. But the processing time is a joke!

You're very welcome. I also was unable to use a channeler. I sent in ink rolled fingerprints.

They don't accept certs from a channeler anymore anyways.

Australia do though (I realise I am on the wrong forum but lots more info here!)

My CC was finally charged today so a little under 11 weeks!

I called the FBI this morning and they are still on July 6th received mail. This person told me try end of next week to see if mine is done. Mine was received July 8th.

Not sure why this person had a different answer than other people did when I called previous times earlier in the week. Before I was told that mine would be done by today or Monday.

Maybe if someone else calls they will get a more concise answer:304-625-5590

I called the FBI today and they now say they are opening mail from the 13th of July and processing mail that was opened on the 2nd of July. Each time I call they ask my name, repeat the spelling of my name back to me and check something, cause a minute later they tell me when I can expect them to get to mine. So she said in a week to week and a half they should have it for me. I have no idea if that means it will be in my mailbox at that time or if they will start working on it.
Just keeping everyone informed on what date they say they are working on.

I emailed them and they replied over the weekend saying my prints hadn't been processed yet, even though payment has been taken. They were received 6th July and payment taken 17th September. I don't want to annoy them but may email again tomorrow for another update!

304-625-5590 FBI phone number if you want to call. They are always very nice.

yep. I've called them a few times when I was checking on my wife's prints and the person on the phone was always nice to me too.

I got this email today:

According to the FBI's records, your request was completed and will mail out on approximately 9/25/2015. All responses are mailed through the US Postal Service First Class Mail. Please allow standard mailing time to receive the response.

Does this means the prints have been accepted? Last time when they got rejected the email said the prints were not of satisfactory quality and attached a new fingerprint sheet with it, so I'm guessing this is good news?

Looks like your prints were accepted and processed!
