US Police Clearance: FBI Processing Times

It doesn't have distinctly visible VOID on the paper, but as you move it, the light catches the security feature on the paper.
We used myfbireport.com by National Credit Reporting at LiveScan centre.

Do you or anyone else have a copy of the format your letter came in just to compare?

My assumption is that it's fine. I think that the "invisible void" is to prevent people from photocopying it and trying to pass it off as an original.

Since the beginning of the year, the FBI has been issuing the IHSR letters on plain white paper with absolutely no security features at all! I can't understand why CIC still needs the original, when the faxed copy that can be sent to them (by the PR applicant) is exactly the same as what has to be mailed to them!

Maybe CIC will eventually modify this requirement, or...only accept the FBI report from an approved Channeller that still uses the blue security paper. LOL!

Could someone advice if FBI can provide a duplicate copy of the results, if the original mail was not delivered ?

My FBI report was signed for by B. BORGET this morning at CPC Ottawa! I made the mistake and forgot to include the original packaging from the FBI, just in case the agent doubts that it is a real FBI report. Hopefully they are very familiar with the FBI report's new look, now that it's August.

I just received my ITA and have to now submit my FBI PCC. I am wondering if anyone has used FBI approved 3rd party to get their PCC. Last I knew that CIC does not accept FBI 3rd party PCC's. Has that changed? Also if approved, any idea which 3rd party I should use?

You must submit an original FBI PCC. CIC does not accept anything from a third party Channeller.

You should receive it within 10-14 days, depending on your location, if the prints were legible.

However...the credit card is charged before they check your fingerprints. It's still possible that your prints can be rejected, if they were not taken correctly.

Send them a fax with a cover letter stating that "this is the original FBI report, not a copy" and they might actually believe you.

They're not scholars or anything over there. They probably won't figure it out.

We sent in a channeller report in March and it was fine, then a few days into March they changed the requirements. The channelers are APPROVED by the FBI for god's sake, and they have access to the actual FBI database. The only reason I can think of is they don't allow any different looking reports because it would be too easy to fabricate it. I don't think it would be that hard to fabricate the straight-from FBI report though if they don't even use any security, makes no sense.

All I remember is the reports we got over the past few years were on bluish paper.

I am visiting the US now but my mom got my mail at home in Canada today (she also checked yesterday) and our FBI check finally came in and I sent our package in June 10th if it is our first package as we sent in 2 in case the one with only one finger print card didn't work, the second one we sent in June 16th with 6 fingerprint cards, we weren't taking any chances. I cannot say the differences as I am not able to see it until I get home to Canada, but we will be forwarding this to CIC shortly! YAY!

anyone know what time-scale they are working to? Mine was received July 6th. This is second set as first set (that I sent in March!) were rejected so fingers crossed this time.
