Interestingly, I just received my electronic file.

As of the beginning of June, none of my checks had even been started -- this was when the file was generated. By June 30, I had received decision made.

Of perhaps greatest interest to other applicants, it appears that the unsolicited copy of my CSQ was beneficial. There is a note in the file about its receipt under "incoming correspondence," and on the same day the following note was added:
File is now in processing. APR fees are NOT REFUNDABLE. File location has been updated to FCP For Review. **File is Ready for Officer Review**
(The change in location of my paper file is also noted elsewhere in the application.)

The "Group Name," at the head of my file, is "FCP Blitz". How does this relate to anyone else's group names?

That's interesting, Majromax.

I'm pretty certain an email to them asking what was going on with my application got them looking at it again as my application went 'in process' the next week after a response. It's sort of frustrating to think files might sit there until someone is reminded about them.

If I don't get DM tomorrow maybe I'll shoot them an email.

I emailed my husband's mp two weeks ago and still no response.

The middle of June we got a request for more proof we were still both here in Canada and my Right of Permanent Resident Fee we got everything together and sent to them within just over a week. As of today it is just past their 45 days they gave to us to get them info. I am waiting not so patently hoping each day is the day we get DM.

Praying we all soon get DM so we can start the rest of our lives.

You are more patient than us :) We sent an email today.

Our MP replied very quickly then took over 3 weeks to get back to us!

It's so frustrating for those of us waiting for so long. It's been 11 months for us now and we are completely in limbo. We have a 10 month old and just want to get on with our life as a new family.

Let's pray for DM very, very soon.

Yikes! Our MPs must be busy bc I've seen some take like less than a week to reply -_-

Definitely very frustrating. I just want to get moving on with my life. Get a job, at least contemplate school. I hate this limbo period!!

Let's!! Good luck to you. I'm at 10 months, going on 11 once August gets here... ugh.

KKKJo...10 months?...I wish....our file was not touched for 9 months...we have been waiting since April 2014...going on 19 months...I have emailed our MP...just asking why there would be a third request for MED when everything could have been done on the second request and if they are requesting info from New York why is there nothing in the case notes....

Dear Sir/Madam,

Our office confirms that your application is at pour office and is in queue for being processed as per our regulatory timeline.
Please note that we cannot confirm when your file will be ready for finalization.
We do not require any information from you at the present time. An officer will contact you if further information is required. Please ensure when submitting documents that they are still valid and will not expire within six (6) months as this could delay your application.
Please consult our Website for information regarding our processing times:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm-fc.asp
For your information, the processing times, provided on the website, is the average time it took visa offices to approve or refuse 80 percent of applications during a specified period in the past. They may not accurately predict future processing times.
We appreciate your patience and ask that you keep correspondence with our office to a minimum. In order to process requests efficiently, we will not be responding to duplicate requests.
Regards,

Received this message from cic today. Looks like we will just have to wait.

Confused987...it means somone is getting paid Union wages to point and click....I think we all have at least one letter that is exactly like yours.!!!!

I wish they can explain what the regulatory timeline is. It looks like there is a process cic follows to determine which file gets accomplished. Maybe people who received their DMs did something different or correct?

Got DM today! Hope some more announcements will be made today about that.

Congratulations!

We dotted every I...crossed every T pre paid...up front Meds...back ground checks...married 10 years.....and the file sat from Aug 2014 to end of May 2015...as per the case notes the only action was me requesting case notes, so if someone did something different I am I don't know what it is....How do you deal with medical requested two times besides upfront ones?

Unfortunately it's way more likely that it's down to the officer that goes through the application. Mine took 19 months, and like Sunset, we prepared forever and checked to make sure the application was completely complete. I was asked for financials whereas others with the exact same scenario/relationship time/etc. were processed with no problem in 7-9 months.

In other news, I landed today through Lewiston, NY. It took 45 minutes of sitting and waiting. But after signing I'm so relieved. Now to wait for the PR card, get my SIN, and move on with life. We're planning on opening a small candy store together in the very near future. :)

Since you applied in March, you should count on a wait. I know some folks from March already have gotten DM, but that's out of the ordinary and there are a lot of people who have been waiting a lot longer. Best to be patient and figure if you get a DM in the next couple of months that you are doing well.

This is the ultimate question we all wonder here, and without data on every person who applies along with their application there's no way to extract the data. We got DM in under 4 months, nothing special about us aside from being poor and on disability, lol. Maybe because we are so boring there wasn't much to check up on.

We applied in March and got DM June 25, I had absolutely no clue it would go that fast.
