I just wanted to mention in this thread that I received my CoPR today! I hope all you other DMs get the good news in the mail soon (or at least get the CoPRs mailed off ASAP)!

I have until the end of January 2016 to land... hopefully get that finished up next week. Finally relief!

It really took 18 months for your application to go from submitted to final? Was there any difficulties during the process or additional docs requested or was it just slow Ottawa processing?

After 9 months of no contact, application received, I was asked to provide information that I could support myself financially (as an applicant). They gave me 60 days, which I used about a month and a half of, gathering everything I could from the last 5 years. That was in December 2014 that they got that information back and finally I got an In Process / DM / CoPR this month.

Congrats. I hope I see more threads with similar happy news this week.

Thank you! I called the Call Centre and talked to 3 different agents....none that were willing to give me any answers or even indications whether it was a positive outcome or if/when they sent out the CoPR.

I am just a bunch of excited nerves right now! Part of me wants to (enthusiastically!) share with all my friends the good news...but at the same time, I am a little apprehensive to say anything until we get the letter in our hands.

May this week bring more great news to everyone!

Congrats on the DM, lilikoi. I'm assuming you're approved unless you've heard of some problems by now.

Thank you! :D

Allow me to also extend my congratulations. I have never heard here of a US/Canadian application that received a negative decision without first receiving an information request or an interview. However, I also understand (and share, for my own application) your trepidation until the COPR is in your hands.

My husband got his COPR on July 2, he waited till July 7th (my BD) to tell me about it. But, I found out early, haha. I had to feign surprise, but ya good luck, that would be an excellent BD present.

How do you get invited to your MP's BBQ? lol. Sounds like fun.

I'm impressed your husband can keep a secret like that for 5 days. I'd last 5 minutes. :P

Congrats, and happy belated!

Thanks, Haha, ya I know.I figured it out ahead of time though because my dad knew and hinted about something good happening, and my husband is like a kid when it comes to a secret. But still the thought that counts.

Congrats to everyone getting their DM's! And happy landings. :D

COPR yesterday!
Landing on Monday after the weekend!

COPR yesterday, I have time until June 2016.
They gave me Condition 51, probably because we have been married for less than two years notwithstanding the fact that our (long distance) relationship has been going on for five.
Oh well, it's not that i wasn't going to live with my wife...

Congratulations and envy!

Today's results of my weekly call to CIC as we await SA. I got through right away, the agent looked and I finally got more complete clarity on what happened to our application...it was definitely sent to Ottawa prematurely and is "in transit" back to Mississauga. Once back, it will be evaluated for SA. I said something slightly snarky about how it shouldn't take long to get from Ottawa to Mississauga, and he said yes, but hat until it arrives no one is working on it. So I will call again next Tuesday and hope it's actually "in process" this time.

Got DM today! Hope some more announcements will be made today about that.
