If anyone applies in January Outland, I have our spreadsheet in my signature. PM me to be added (or post in the January 2013 thread - this Outland thread sometimes moves too fast for my slowness).

Where are you living? A lease would be good, as would evidence the car is registered in Ontario and the car insurance is being paid in Ontario. A letter from the employer should be good, as would evidence you have been granted OHIP (probably not likely yet if you just got back).crna80 said:Got a reply from Ottawa stating that they need proof that I(sponsor) live and work in Ontario now. I made the move beginning of Jan. Any opinions of what I should send. I have a letter from work saying I am working there, I have my bank account info. I have no pay stubs yet. or T4's since 2010.
Received a similar email today stating my Canadian Citizen husband sponsor needs to show more proof of residency, We will be sending pay stubs, bank statements, T4 from last year. some of our utility bills have a US address as they were being sent to me to pay, but the service was in Canada. what else can we send to establish residency. The email says Driver's license property tax assessments and SSI cards are insufficient.
Not happy tonight Sad
Congrats!! Great news.Occasita said:PPR this morning!!!

Thank you for replying, I've posted on three threads and this is the only reply I received. My surprise is that he was approved as a sponsor, But I'm thinking because I said he lvied in Canada on my app, that is the sticking point, Maybe. My husband Canadian citizen is living in Ontario. We have owned a home there for almost 14 years, no mortgage or lease. We initially sent a letter from his employer. The email said "Evidence that your sponsor resides in Canada. This includes but is not limited to: pay stubs, T4 slips, utility bills, and banking history. Driver's licences, Property tax assessments, Social Insurance or Health Insurance cards are not sufficient This must be received at this office by: 03/17/2013". So today we printed out 2 years of Ontario Hydro Bills, 2 yrs of Bell Bills, 2 years of shaw direct, 2 yrs of TD bank statements and 2 yrs of TD visa, a few propane bills as we hadn't been keeping them. MY husbands employer printed out a pay schedule for the last two years, we copied 2 years of pay stubs and a T4. I have asked my neighbor if we would write a letter stating my husband has lived there, plus my 2 SIL and my husbands son, all writing letters to verify that my husband has been a resident there since January 2011. Is this overboard or is some of this unnecessary. Is there anything else to consider. I am still a resident of Florida and currently living here. Any other advice? That should be more than enough. If there is a discrepancy between his and your paperwork, you might wish to correct that as well. CIC doesn't like when things don't align properly.crna80 said:Thank you for replying, I've posted on three threads and this is the only reply I received.
