OMG! So we decided we couldn't afford to wait any longer for our case to finish, and me and baby girl came back to the US last Sunday so I could work. I was sitting here moping this afternoon, and Seattle sent our PPR. So...(insert really bad word here)...followed by screaming and dancing...where can I get a Canadian passport sized photo in the US?
Note that you need a Canadian immigration size photo (35mm x 45mm). Take the specifications to somewhere that does this and they likely can handle it (e.g., FedEx Office has worked well for me in the past).

There's a nice thread about this topic here.

As soon as you crossed the border, it sent an e-mail to the VO and said "ok, you can do this one now..."

I actually spoke with a VO in Seattle once. Very nice person. :)

Sorry if I interrupt an ongoing topic but I had a random question. I checked ECAS under my name (I'm the applicant) and I see my US address listed in a weird format. Instead of being 1234 Old Street, Apt 12, my addres is displayed as 12 1234 Old Street. If they had to contact me by postal mail, would my mail reach to me? Do I need to email or fax my VO (Ottawa) to make these changes on the format?
Thank you

Mine is the same way, Canada Revenue does the same thing. They like one line street addresses, so they put the apartment number first.

Would the US Postal Mail know how to read that format? Or does Ottawa even bother to send any letters in the mail? I'm just worried that I might miss any correspondence in case they needed more proof or anything.

This format is acceptable to USPS as well. Addresses are read from the bottom up, so it is not an issue.

I wrote "Family - Spousal" on the outside of my envelope to Mississauga, but I did not note that the application was Outland. Will they identify as Outland from the barcodes, etc. when it is opened? or will it get into the much longer Inland sponsor approval line? :(

They'll know. First of all, Inland applications are sent to Vegreville, and outland ones to the office at Mississauga. Second, inland and outland sponsorship use different forms.

Ahhh.. yes, of course! I should have remembered that Inland are sent to a different office :-[ Many thanks for your response, I can leave that little worry behind. It's amazing how the littlest thing can start consuming my thoughts in this crazy process!

It's a constant problem - you start second guessing yourself. You over think things.

It ends the day the CBSA officer stamps the COPR.
