It just crossed my mind that they used to just mail the COPR with regular mail at their expense. With the advent of the PPR for US citizens, now they have us suck up the cost of the COPR mail, too. :P

I'll gladly eat that cost for the privilege of being able to track when it's arriving.

Never mind... I figured it out, hah! I had to change my application from inland to outland back in October and they gave me a new application number... and of course I was wrongly entering the old one. Whoops!

Still waiting on that COPR though... was signed by B Borgeat on 2/24/17 hoping to get it next week!

Mine was signed for by the same person. Just waiting on my COPR as well :)

Hi friends,
Received my CoPR and PP back from Ottawa via FedEx return label.

CPC-Ottawa works with FedEx.

Best of luck to all of you.

(This is a cross post from the Oct Outland thread - hoping you guys could help me out as well) :)

Hey everyone! I have great news, we have some movement on our October application!

This morning (our wedding anniversary in fact) I received an email from CIC..... asking for us to pay the RPRF! So, even though ECAS and my CIC account do not show any changes (no background check in progress, etc), I am hopeful that this means I'm in?!

Can anyone confirm getting this email notice before anything changes with their account online?

ALSO --- I have actually paid the RPRF. I paid it on Feb 3rd of last month, and got an email (literally) Tuesday from IRCC confirming they accepted the receipt of my payment. They said in the email, "We have forwarded it to the responsible office for their consideration".

-----------------------------------------------------

Has any other late Oct/early Nov applicant received good news lately?!

Thanks so much for your help!

Yes I am technically an October applicant since they had to re-file my application in October... but I've acally been waiting since June! I am waiting on COPR So I'd say that's progress!

I did receive that email a week or two before I got DM. I hadn't paid yet though so I can't say for sure if it's a default email they just send to everyone that's at the same part of the process.

Thanks!

My passport copy/photos/Annex A were sent Feb 16, and received in Ottawa on Feb 20.

Received my CoPR this afternoon, and drove to Coutts to land. Very easy, took about 15 minutes after waiting in traffic. My CBSA agent was very friendly and welcoming.

Good luck to everyone still waiting!!

Oh great! Next week looks realistic for me then. Yay!

Also, I know you have to declare your items but like... all of my stuff is already in Canada as I bought it when I was living here as a student and on my PGWP. Am I going to have to declare that stuff? I honestly can't remember what I brought with me as a student like 5 years ago...

Just got my status changed to approved!! Yaaaaaaaay!

no, you only declare items you are bringing with you or intend to bring later. if your stuff is already in canada, then you don't need to declare it.

Status changed to approved!!!!! Copr to come next week!!!!! So excited

So when I "land" I don't have to have my uhaul full of stuff? I can just declare it and drive up later with that list + the items? That's good! I wasn't aware of that.

right, as long as you tick the "goods to follow" box on the form , then the stuff listed on the form does not need to be physically present at landing. they will process the paperwork, and you'll be able to declare those items duty free when you bring them in later. there is no time limit for bringing in "goods to follow" items.
