Another question now. Has anyone applied with an apartment as an address? They have my address in there funny. It's in this format:

Apt# Street #
Street Name
City, State
Country

Does anyone else's apartment number come before their street address in the system?

That's actually standard Canadian address formatting, so that's how our address showed up in the system.

Thank you both! That puts my mind at ease. I was worried about not getting correspondence in the mail.

Leave it blank, it should allow that. As for the medical thing, uhh that's WEIRD.. Maybe she got mixed up. You need Appendix C and more than 2 photos. As they need one for the actual doctor, one for x-rays, one for blood work, and I'm pretty sure one more. I know in my husbands case they needed 4. Take schedule A anyway, but I doubt they will need that haha.

I just need a little clarification with the photos. I know for US applicants, they indicate we need 4 photos for the application. Are these 4 pics completely different from the ones I needed for my medical, or is the guide just telling us how many we will need for the medical?

The ones on the CPP-O checklist (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/fc.asp)are in addition to those needed for the medical and should be mailed in with your application.

Can I just get a set of 9 immigration photos? Do they need to be the same?

They are different-- when you go do your Meds they will need a couple of photos (I had to go to a pharmacie next door since the lady had only told me I needed one). Then you need to send an extra four in your application. I took those the day I sent my husband everything from my end so they all look the same but are different from the meds (since the immigration photos are also smaller).

They don't need to be the same, but it sure is easier to just take a bunch upfront :). Check with the doctor you'll be doing medicals as (depending on their setup, they require different number of photos).

thank you. I just checked and the doctor asked for 5 passport sized pics....and they will be charging me 390 dollas!!! plus it's 4 hours away from where I am. It seems that all my problems are piling up now. :(

:(. Is there a doctor that is closer in another direction? Perhaps a neighboring state that is closer than 4 hours away? You could see if they are cheaper (or more expensive...) and comparison shop.

I wish. He's the closest one I could find in the panel of doctors. All the other ones are 7-8 hours away. There is another one I about the same distance. I will find out tomorrow. sigh

I wish I had a photo studio, haha! I should have done like...10 all in one go, it would have been much simpler :) <--- to those thinking about starting their application, take this tip!

Hang in there lunas...I know a lot of this is very discouraging.

No kidding. I wish I had a photo studio too. I went to Walmart today and they said they couldn't take immigration photos. I haven't checked Walmart yet. CVS said no also. They all just take passport size photos.
