Hi all, I've travelled to the US often for groceries or gas fill ups, and haven't tracked all of these visits. As I am completing our applications for citizenship, I see we need to list them all? Can anyone advise how best I can get a copy of all of these trips? OR what should I put in our application if we don't have all of them tracked? We live in a border town, it's nothing to go do to US on the odd weekend.

Thanks in advance

You need to add every single you travelled outside Canada even if it’s a day trip.
You can get the US travel history from this link:
https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/I94/#/history-search

All the best

Thanks Everyone, because I'm a US Citizen, the i94 travel history is not available. I can only request the CBSA Travel History Report. Thank you! [What is most odd however, on the Travel Page itself, it reads:

"If you are applying for Canadian Citizenship, you do not need to request your Traveller History Report from the CBSA. Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) can collect the report on your behalf when needed since consent to share information about the entry/exit information is no longer required."

We have well over 5 years here in the country, so our days within residence is not an issue. To be safe, I'll collect the report anyway, and just doc all visits until we get our Canadian Citizenship going forwards.

Thanks

AH, well this is not the right forum for that...as this is the citizenship forum; however I think the process is the same... if you check in the header of this forum, you will see details on how to obtain border crossing records.

Do a search for PR Card renewal and residency obligation, ATIP for border crossing or items along these lines. You will need to request the information using Access to Information protocols.

From the US side, it's harder to get those details if you don't have an I-94 [and you wouldn't as a US citizen].

Thanks for your help. I ended up asking a Lawyer. She said saince I am a US citizen I need not provide a history of travel to and from the US. The history is only for countries different than your Citizenship country.
I hope they are correct - This is why they get paid the big bucks :)

I disagree with your lawyer based on personal experience. My husband is a US citizen. He missed one single same day trip to the US in his citizenship application and that resulted in RQ and delays to the processing of his application. List everything.

Is it possible that the rules for citizenship and PR differ in regards to this law?

You're posting in the wrong section if you aren't asking about citizenship.

However my answer would be no. You need to list all travel. That's what the question asks.

Post to the right section of the forum. Not here.
