Post ITA, for FBI PCC in the permanent resident application, can we upload the PDF downloaded from FBI site or it should mandatorily be the scanned copy of the same document mailed to the address? I don't see any difference between them...

I just uploaded what they emailed to me-- really no point in doing anything else since the paper copy is literally just that printed on normal office paper. If anyone had problems with this, let us know!

I did the same and didn't have any problems. In fact, I only received the PDF via email. I never received a paper copy.

I'm happy to report I was able to close my bank accounts at one of our banks by phone. I have one left open there since it's the only US account we have cheques for but once we get some for our TD US account I'll probably close it too. Do be careful about fees as you're wrapping up US business. Our main chequing account and a secondary old one of mine got low balance fees because the former was some grandfathered account with a higher minimum balance than was listed for the current version of it on the bank's website, and the latter always had a low balance but both were free of fees because of our mortgage (plus the first one I *thought* had enough in it to stop them), and with the house sold the monthly fees hit. I was able to get 3/4 fees refunded thankfully and downgraded the account that's left so it needs even less in it.

A question to applicants who deferred xray due to pregnancy. After the submission of documents..and receiving AOR, was there any change in their application status? I know some people saying without medical completion no other steps start..others saying there would be other processes done as we wait. Any inputs from experienced people?

I was waiting for the results of extra medical tests for about six weeks after AOR. I didn't see any other changes in my application status until medical was passed. I won't know for sure what was going on until I receive the GCMS notes that I've requested. I'm still waiting for PPR.

Hey about car insurance in Canada. Did you have to get a reference from your US insurance company for you to be covered? How did the process of getting car insurance go for you? What kind of rates did you get and what company did you go with?

Hey guys . Anybody who did their Indian PCC from New York?

Do you get passport back on same day if you go personally ?

Sorry, I have not gotten car insurance or a car here. But there are others on this thread who have and could share their experiences.
