Is there a way to know the visa office..other than through gcms? I raised a cse for a correction and got a response that the Info has been shared to the corresponding office..but it didn't say which office it is..for people based in US, which one is it usually?
You can call and ask the agent.

Basically, as far as I'm aware, you can just use your US passport when you fly. You will need to bring your CoPR with you, though, so that you can show evidence that you're a PR and not a visitor once you re-enter Canada.
Two different CBSA agents told me not to waste their time (or mine) by applying for one. I use my Nexus or my US Passport (never my PR Card even) to enter Canada and every time they tell me "Welcome Home." Technically they have your US Passport info in their system..they can see you're a Canadian PR. However, I do suggest applying for a Nexus card; both your US Passport & PR card will be attached to it.

Hello,

I need urgent help please. I have sent twice the photographs for me and my family through over night Fedex for CoPR and both times the photographs got rejected. Both times I got it done at Walgreens. It is very expensive so I was extra cautious in making sure they were done correctly the second time. This second time it has been mentioned that the background should be white. It is white in the photographs that I sent and the other specifications were also met so I do not know what else I need to do. I also don't know whether they had issues with one or all four members of my family. Your guidance and advice would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Hello Everyone,
My family just returned from our soft landing in Halifax. We landed, had our goods accompanying and goods to follow lists stamps, got SIN numbers at Services Canada the next business day, since the airport in Halifax does not have that service, set up a Canadian bank account (glad we got our SIN numbers first since we needed them), and found a house to rent. I wasn't asked for updated proof of funds letters at immigration, but I'm really glad that I brought them because being able to show that we would be able to pay rent from savings helped give our landlord the confidence to rent to us while we look for new jobs in NS.

Does anyone have any recommendations for moving companies to use to move belongings from the US to Canada? Some friends of ours used U-Pack, but unfortunately U-Pack doesn't do moves to Nova Scotia.

Hi, I had some queries with respect to mailing passports via Fedex to CPC Ottawa,

Q1. What is the Phone# for CPC Ottawa, that we would enter when creating the Fedex label?
Q2. Can the return address be different from the mailing address on our EE application/profile?
Q3. The mailing address requires us to include "US Permanent /Temporary Residence VISA/Passports". Where do we enter that? Would it be in the Company field or Contact field? Also, both of these fields have a length limit
Q4. Do we sign the return commercial invoices (or) would the case worker sign those when returning the parcel?

See some of the posts above. There are specialty studios in US which do it but charge a lot and there is no guarantee that they will be accepted anyway. Walgreens also does it, but for cheap. People have recommended using Walgreens, and then doing it again in Canada once your are there. (in cheap places like Walgreens, CVS or Costco). So even if photos get rejected you can send those taken in Canada, since those are much more likely to be accepted.
While submitting my application after receiving ITA, do I have to submit back of photo where stamp of photographer am y details are there? Or I just have to upload front of my photo only?
Thanx in advance

Upload only. You can take that photo yourself (I mean not a selfie, have friend/family take it). Get it cut to size at idphotos4u.com or similar website.

After the application is processed and you receive passport request, then you will need to send a hardcopy photo with name of photographer on the back.

Hello all,
I have my two accounts in USA one in BoA other in Chase bank.
I have sufficient balance in Chase account for family of three but my car loan gets deducted from it every month.I am planning to show only Chase bank as POF . Should I mention anything about car loan in that?
Do I need to show my BOA account also? In that my half salary comes and I pay all my bills thru tat.
Please advise. I am in final stage of submitting my application and in dilemma should I mention anything about BOA in LOE or should I show as proof of funds?
Thanx in advance

I have a couple of questions and I am hoping someone could help me.

1) I worked on contract (hourly pay- although its a full-time 40 hours per week position). I worked through an agency whose location is New York and the client location is at the city of Buffalo. Should I get reference letter from both - my employer and the client? (Getting a reference letter from client is difficult).
2) I have an undergraduate (Bachelors degree) from India and a Masters Degree from the United States. I got WES for my Masters degree. Is that sufficient or should I get it for my Bachelors too?

Any help regarding this is greatly appreciated.
I am in a similar situation. My employer location is Sanat Clara, CA and I worked for a client in Austin,TX. My concern is, In employer history I have filled State and City as Santa Clara, CA but in personal activity and address history I have put Austin, TX coz I was living in Austin, TX.

I am a bit concerned if this will be confusing/suspicious while matching the information. Please help!!!
