As of late it appears to be just over a month from LPP to oath ceremony, give or take a week. Most people seem to be receiving their notice to appear within 2-4 weeks of LPP being completed.

My test & bg were completed in March of last year and my LPP weren't completed until very late December, oath invitation in January. It might be a while, or it might not be. LPP are usually in progress until they're almost ready to send out the oath invitation.

My oath ceremony is tomorrow. Yesterday I got a second email (first was received on January 9th) containing my oath ceremony invitation and information, so now I have two identical documents. I doubt there are any issues, but is this typical?

Update as of today, January 9, 2024: citizenship ceremony is "in progress" and is scheduled for January 23rd. :) I received the formal invitation email today for the online ceremony as well.

And now I've received the formal invitation! It will be an online (Zoom) ceremony. I'm so excited!! My husband is looking to plan a little get together celebration the following weekend.

Tracker update this morning! I have been scheduled for the oath ceremony on January 23rd. :D I also received the "how to download your certificate" email on Saturday, January 6th.

In addition to the above, I want to emphasize that even if your PR card expires, your PR status does not expire. You are always a PR unless you have formally had your status revoked or have relinquished it voluntarily (this can include changing your status, such as becoming a citizen)...

The wait is SO tough. I've been very humbled by the experience with citizenship after my lightning-fast PR processing, and even that short wait felt tremendous.
