Whew! That's good. The only thing I've seen happen is that they will exclude work experience that was not authorized. Since you still qualify, I think you'll be fine.
Hey Jes_ON,
I'm kinda in the same situation here as nicole, just wondering if you or any seniors in this forum could give me any advise
Here's my time line:
Graduated June 2011, applied my PGWP right after graduation ceremony(application was sent to Bufflao), got a letter from bufflao at the end of August(the letter was dated Aug 5), saying my PGWP was approved, i may travel to Canada now and i need to use this letter to get my actual PGWP at the border customer.(that was weird cz at that time i was in Canada).
Started my full time job August 22nd, 2011, up till now, but the thing is CIC gave me one more year of SP and COOP WP while i renewed them on my 3rd year university, they expire at August 2012, while i actually graduated on June, 2011....So i started working using my coop WP and did not go get my actual PGWP. i went to border to get my PGWP on Feb 2012 and it was issued Feb 2012 ---Feb 2015.
I applied under CEC on May 2013 and by the time i applied i already have 1 year and 9 months of full time experience, now i'm worried that i have been illegally worked since August 2011 to Feb 2012.
But you just mentioned that CIC will only look at the working experience one year prior to the date of CEC application, any work experience before that will be automatically excluded? so even if i deduct this 6 months of "illegal" work before i get my PGWP, i still got 1 year and 3 months of experience and still elligible for CEC?
I actually asked a paid immigration consultant in Toronto and he is telling me the same thing. It is not right to work before PGWP but since i got enough experience even i dont take this period of time into account, the CIC will just ignore my working time before PGWP and starting counting after my PGWP was issued.
Any advise? thanks a lot!
