Yes they mention that if you are residing outside North America then drop mail to change VO. But as we are holding Indian Passports, it is illegal to send it by courier outside residing country. This is why I asked them to change the VO to USA. But not sure whether they're going to change it or she would have to send her Passport by courier only
Hey Manil,

Good Luck buddy and keep us all posted with further progress.

Best,

Should we wait further for VO change or submit passport to Ottawa? If wait then till how long? It's been 17 days and our deadline is 23rd July.

Manik,

One suggestion that try calling Canada's Delhi VO tomorrow morning as possibly they can offer you some potential solution. Make sure you tell them that you already mailed CIC but still no reply comes back and now you are in condition where you are left with 13 more days only.

Hope this helps. Keep us posted.

Hi karenn1617,

I got response for VO change request to Delhi and going to submit my Passport tomorrow. But I am still waiting for my wife's VO change. She is in the US and we requested CPC to change her VO to US.

In that situation my friend will say that try to call Delhi's VO while since you are going tomorrow yourself, then you can ask the staff yourself in-person while their contact details can be checked at -
http://www.vfsglobal.ca/canada/india/contact_us.html

BTW how much total time CIC take to reply you back and can you share the email via personal message. Just want to go through it for reference for myself.

Good luck.

VFS(India) or CHC, New Delhi is no where related to VAC or CHC in USA. So I don't think they can help.
In my case, they took almost 14 days to reply for one request out of two. VO change response looks like this

Manil,

Thanks for sharing the letter.

Well over asking, I believe even if they are not related, it still not be an issue on asking them at the time of your submission.

Hope this helps.

@Manil, another member reported that their PPR contained a CIC link where they could change the VO.

I think my application might have been processed by Warsaw, but I can not know for sure.

Those guys from my country who were processed by Ottawa got PPRs with directions to send their passports to Ottawa. In my PPR I was given a link to a CIC web page where I could choose my country and find out where to submit my passport in my country.

Hi Asivad Anac,

I went through the link. It has mentioned some question numbers(7&9) but in the application, questions are not numbered.

Thanks for your reply.

I haven't tried logging into MyCIC to check but they seem pretty sure of themselves. Worth a shot?

To access your application in MyCIC

Log into your MyCIC account.
On the MyCIC welcome page, under “what would you like to do today”, navigate to the “View my submitted applications” section.
Click on “Check status and messages”.
On the “Application Details” page, click on “view submitted application”.
Your application will open in a new window.

In your application form, if you have answered:

YES to question 9, use the country/territory you provided to question 7
NO to question 9, use the country/territory you provided to question 9

Hi Curious_123

There is nothing to be scared of in your case.

They will change your spouse's VO once you send the letter. And you can submit yours in Canada. In my case we needed to change the VO for both of us as my wife is in USA and I am in India.

Now they have changed it for me but for my wife there is no response yet. :(

Thanks
Manil

but why you have to change for your wife..She is in USA right. doesnt she have to send it to Ottawa ..it says in my letter :

If you have a mailing address in the United States: To allow you to track your Confirmation of Permanent Residence (IMM 5688) and, if a visa is required, your passport through the mail, you must purchase a pre-paid shipping label from Canada Post and include it with your passports and a copy of this letter. Follow the link to purchase your shipping label:
http://www.canadapost.ca/personal/tools/cst/intro-e.asp
Clients located in the US only, if unable to submit a pre-paid Canada Post shipping label, should provide an envelope from a private courier for the return of their passports. We do not accept registered mail or postage coupons.
For reasons of passport security, CPC-Ottawa does not return passports by regular mail. CPC-Ottawa accepts no responsibility for any passport lost in the mail. These instructions are also highly recommended for persons exempted from a visa. If you are exempted from a visa and do not submit a return prepaid Xpresspost envelope, we will return your Confirmation of Permanent Residence by regular mail.
