Is it possible if I could go to the embassy and talk to a visa officer regarding my case? I've been already waiting for 11 weeks, and my deadline is coming very soon. Is it possible that I would be able to talk to a visa officer and explain that my study permit needs to be urgently processed?

I hadn't received any updates till then so going to the embassy was definitely a great step. They told me you cannot submit ur passport to the embassy itself if you are a UAE resident. Unless its an utmost emergency.
For anyone that would like to know here's my timeline
Applied via VFS - Dubai - July 6th
Application transferred to embassy in Abu Dhabi - July 7th
(Between then and now I had received ZERO updates through the VFS tracking option)
Went to the embassy and filled in the pink slip stating my situation in detail and I was told to submit my passport to VFS, And said it will take 5 working days approx to get the visa stamped.
I suggest everyone who has already bypassed the expected wait time to go to the embassy and fill in the pink slip!
To everyone that has already gotten their visa's stamped have a safe journey, and everyone waiting don't tread on it. Go to the embassy see what happens!

I have asked a cousin of mine in the UAE to pay a visit to the embassy at the trade towers tomorrow sometime in the morning to enquire about my student visa application. I gave him all the pertinent details let's see if he come up with some answer.

Please did you eventually visit the embassy? were you attended to? I have a concern and i'll really need someone there to clarify for me. I plan on going there but some people said only Canadian citizens are allowed. is it true?Why don't you go there? Let me know how it goes so I would go there too.
