You didn't apply through VFS initially?

I got back from VFS and I gave my passport to them. In the next few days I should be able to go to Canada hopefully! Apparently they never updated my file, and found out recently that the processing has been done.

VFS told me the Embassy are requesting my Passport. That was the only news I heard, so I have no idea what this means....

I tried contacting them through phone, and they requested my passport for processing. However, on my online application, it doesn't say anything. Anyways, I'm going tomorrow to VFS to send my passport and see what happens

Thank you WollyKing! I'm not sure what it means though, I don't believe it's fully processed yet. So I have to wait and see! I hope your study permit comes as soon as possible, what university did you apply to?

Funny story, I didn't go, but I contacted VFS. I got some news today that I was requested to send my passport to the application centre for processing. I found some news that the Embassy in Abu Dhabi won't be closed for a week, it's going to be closed only for 2 days!

Going tomorrow to the embassy, I'll keep you updated whether they would let me in :( Chances are low tho

Yeah, but that was updated before the news came out that the Eid holidays would last a week long for public sector operations :(

Yes it is, I'm praying it comes this week otherwise, it goes down the drain! This should be the easy part. Getting into university should have been the hard part, not this.

What's worse is that there is no way to contact them. If you are going to keep us on hold for that long, at least entertain the applicants! Let them visit the embassy and ask them about their visa. Trying to email them takes around 15 days! I understand they get a lot of applicants, and that's...

This is basically the last week till Eid Holidays. Eid Holidays would last from Sept. 11th to Sept 18th. If I don't get my student visa by this week, I would lose my admission because I need to arrive in Canada by Sept 19th. Is there any possible way to get it done this week? I can't risk losing...

Eid Holidays are now from Sept 11th to Sept 18th. If we don't get it this week, we lose our admissions :(

No, they really don't, I tried contacting them, nothing really came up. I linked my account online a couple of days ago, and I realized after 11 weeks they never once reviewed my application :(

No, since I live in the United Arab Emirates, and haven't travelled in the last 6 months, it wasn't required.
