Hi Friends,

My wife is from Pakistan and following is the timeline for her sponsorship case.

  • application received for permanent residence: April, 2012.
  • additional documents requested by London office: May, 2014
    • New Schedule A
    • Right of Permanent Residence Fee
    • Police Certificate
    • Medical Exam
  • additional documents received by London office: June, 2014

Now its been 6 months and we've not heard anything from CIC. My wife is staying with me in Canada on a visitor visa and she is pregnant. I've approached my local MP and event sent email to immigration minister but only got their regular template reply that it is in process. My question is that if my wife gets a call for Passport submission form CIC Paistan office while she is in Canada and not able to travel because of pregnancy. Is it possible to get the visa stamp from inside Canada or USA/Mexico instead of travelling to Pakistan.

Thanks

You don't need to travel back for visa stamp.

You can send passport by Express then they can send back to you in Canada.

Good luck

Some countries prohibit this. I believe the OP's is one of them.

When your wife gets PPR, just reply to that email and state that she is in Canada, then LVO will send you another email regarding PP submission in London. She does not have to travel back nor you need to submit her PP to Pakistan.
Wish you good luck.

At the moment. Pakistan is the longest time so please be patient. Tell her to take english classes in the mean time. now days they are asking for these kind of things.
