To start off, I am a US Citizen. I am currently in Canada... came to visit a couple of months ago and decided to go back to school here.
I applied to Sheridan College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning for Computer Systems Technician - Software Engineering and received an acceptance letter for January 2013 intake.
I was approved for a direct subsidized loan to cover my tuition costs.
As for living expenses my mother will be supporting me while I am in school.
Now I need to apply for a study permit. What documents do I need to provide and what is an acceptable form of these documents. How do I show that direct subsidized loan will pay directly to the school. As for my living expenses do I just show a copy of my mothers bank statement? I have roughly $8,500USD (which I am aware is not entirely enough to cover living expenses, but combine with my mothers it will be). However my only concern with showing my bank statement is the fact that I am already in Canada and have been here for four months. I am afraid a visa officer will look at the fact that I have already been here a while and won't be satisfied that I will leave.
Help please.
Thank you.
