Urgent: Incorrect PCC issued by CGI

This is my Toronto cgi experience. They will not attend phone calls or thy will just lift and disconnect or the lady who attends the call will be always rude and rush to disconnect the call.

Go in person and meet the visa/passport officer and get it done. Going through VFS for correction is a painful and not sure whether they can give you proper updates. This is from my personal experience.

Passport renewal took 4 months - since indian police depaprtment did a mistake by not sending the police verification. literally I sat one full day in CGI, toronto and talked to all the officer and got with 1 yr validity as my WP was expiring in few days and I had to apply for extension.

PCC - took more than 2 months and my father had to chase each and every officer back home- this is due Indian system.

If you go in person, it will be faster in CGI.

jaihanuman, I asked the same question to CGI and they said the fee has been changed but the website is not updated.

Its $28 each.

As I'll be applying for PCC and COB for me and my wife, can I just get 1 bank draft for $112 (28x4), or do I have to get 4 banks drafts of $28 each...... or maybe 2 of $56(28x2)? Please reply as I'll be going to get this done tomorrow.

Draft for $112 is ok. Just make sure you purchase 4 prepaid envelopes and write the FROM and TO address while submitting the application.

hi how to correct information on pcc issued at toronto cgi through vfs but now agency changed to bls so where to go and how to correct wrong information on pcc
please guide me ASAP because i waiting one month to get pcc and now more headache !!!!

If you applied for PCC @ VFS, did you try calling them?

Else, if you have applied for PCC @ CGI, you can surely go to CGI and get it corrected by waiting for like 2 hours.

Don't forget, you are dealing with Indian embassy. How can you expect your passports back so quick?

I went to the BLS centre today for PCC and they wanted my original Work Permit to send it along with the passport.
I am wondering why would the Indian guys need original WP, it is anyway a Canadian document.

Sorry typo, CGI says it can take upto 6 weeks or more but you can still get it much earlier depending upon how long the verification takes.

Are you sure they asked for an original WP ? They would require a just a copy.

Oh yes, the lady did not accept my application because I did not have the originals. I re-confirmed with her asking does she just want the original to verify the copy and the reply was No, we need to send it along with the passport. I argued why does the Indian Embassy need original canadian document(which was issued by Canadian authorities) and she showed me the check list requirement which read "Current Indian Passport with valid immigration papers or Canadian passport, (along with photocopies of first three and last two pages of the passport.)"

Surprise, surprise...
