Hi All,

Currently I am in Canada, migrated as a worker.

I have updated my application and met CEC and Federal skilled labor class. Hoping that I would receive an ITA in next draw, since I have good points.

My first question here is, to speed up this process is that fine to do the upfront medical exam? Is there any negative aspects by doing this so? How about my spouse? Is it fine to do for her as well? I have read some thread where it stated upfront medical exam is not applicable for spouse and sponsors. Can you please clarify.

Also, I came across that it takes a day to get a PCC(police clearance certificate) if we approach directly to India consulate, Toronto directly. Is that true, will be any impact by doing that as well. Please let me know.

Thanks all for your help here.

I did my upfront medical exam a few days ago. To do a upfront medical exam, you need to provide the ITA letter. So you need to be invited first. However you can start to choose clinics and make appointments. Before the appointment, the staff will verify how many family members there are, and then you can provide the exact number.

For the PCC, I got it from my conuntry but I am not Indian, I think you can call your consulate to verify that.

Well, if your score is high enough to get you an ITA in next draw then you can search for panel physicians in your area and book an upfront medical exam, they don’t ask for any letter as I have done the same. No negative impact.
For PCC, you can get it on same day from CGI-Toronto. No negative impact again.
However, I applied through BLS brampton and got mine in 5 days.
