Hi Seniors,

Need one advice. I am June13 applicant & have already sent my Employer reference letter with the application. With respect to this letter-

a. I see that not all the responsibilities defined for my NOC code are mentioned in my letter but it has other relevant additional roles mentioned in it.
b. Minimum number of work hours were not mentioned.

I was worried that VO should not mix & consider that the roles & responsibilities mentioned in my letter are for other near NOC code & not of mine while he is confirming my eligibility. So I have got another updated Employer letter with weekly work hours mentioned along with all roles of my NOC code but it is now issued by HR and not the manager who had issued the first letter.

Also I had forgot to write our names in Native language in the Additional Family info forms so I have also filled those again & am ready with the emails typed for CIC for sending both of these docs.

My concern is that am I complicating my case or adding confusion to the VOs by sending these docs which they haven't requested at all. June applicants application processing has started & few of us have already received RCMP requests. So there is a probability (even though it is less) that my application will also be picked up for processing.

Please advise as what's your opinion..should I send those or not? Thanks in advance!

HopesAlive,

eligibility check for june applicants has not started yet, they are swtill working on dec,jan and few nov left as well.
RCMP fingerprint request does mean eligibility process starts so do not expect to hear from cic anytime soon.
although i strongly advise you to go ahead and submit your updated reference letter to CPP-OTTAWA asap by email,it is not going to create a confusion to the VO and not submitting it may lead to refusal.do not wait for cpp-ottawa because they will not request it,they can directly reject you.
as for the updated form, email and ask them what to do,i guess they will ask you to send a fresh original form with a signature by snail mail.7

good luck

My opinion :

Updated reference letter: points in this should not deviate from original letter that was submitted initially . You also need not have all roles and responsibilities defined in the website . Adding everything will make your case suspicious . Include ~70-80% of all major roles . Don't copy the same wordings from hrsdc website .

Updated form to include name in native language should be fine.

Considering that you applied in June, Your case is probably untouched by a vo . Your updated letters will be added to the file. A note will be made that updated documents are received. This should not complicate your case.

All the best.

just like eds1275 said make sure your updated reference letter does not contradict with the one you initially sent as part of the application package.
but in my own opinion you should definitely send an updated reference letter since the other one does not include hours worked per week and cover all your roles and duties.

Thanks Canadavisa & Eds for your inputs!

As both of you advised, the wording is not exactly the same as mentioned on the hrsdc site (except for one role which is added now) & all the roles are intact which were present in the earlier letter. Only sequence has changed & the missing roles are added.

I was also worried about the issuing authority.. earlier it was manager & now it is HR..?

HopesAlive YOU ARE WELCOME :)

who issues the letter is not a problem in this case because reference letters signed by HR managers are very well accepted by cic.
do not forget to mention the number of hours you work every week, this is a very important and a key element.

best of luck

For completeness sake, I would write a letter to the CPP-O office, with reference to your file number, explaining that you forgot to fill in that field in your application and that you would like to provide this information. In the same letter you include the names in native language.

It's not a big issue as my friends who also had forgot to write in Native language have got PR. But as Roger said, for the sake of completeness you can send it once you get AOR. I think it would not matter even if you don't send. It's your choice. Canadavisa/Eds please correct me if I am wrong.
As I was thinking of sending updated reference letter & I am sending these forms as well.

Thanks once again Candavisa & Eds for your time & advise!

I'll send the email now.. I have applied for GCMS notes as well yesterday so it will confirm if they have attached to my file or not.
