WE applied online for super visa on Jan 27 . We got the medical request literally the next day (jan 28 ) and after CIC is nowhere to be seen. I still wonder why it would take 2 months to process a super visa!

Had you selected "Yes" for question b and then just said visa refused and did not mention the country? Could you provide more details?

what matters is when were these applications received at CIC? the 4537th application for which AOR was issued in december was received way back in mid august

your assumption here is wrong. CIC will open the envelopes because they cannot just return your application in the same envelope. They will also include an explanation telling why your application is being returned. They should also keep track of all applications that are being returned to...

I had the same situation, I dropped the mail requesting my wife's visa stamping in delhi and CIC replied back with mail asking only my wife to submit passport in Delhi and I have sent my passport to Ottawa but waiting for its return.

Hi Singh Congrats ! TO be on safer side during your wife's travels. you can book business class tickets. many airlines now offer full flat seats. that should not cause much harm.
