I thought I’d update this thread with what I recently did to update my Nexus info with my Canadian citizenship.

I called the US border agency and asked if I needed an appointment to update my Nexus info. I was told no. So, I went to the Blaine, WA and just walked in. It took 10 minutes. I handed the US officer my Canadian Certificate of Citizenship, Canadian passport, and Nexus card. They updated the info and handed everything back to me. The officer said they tried to see if the Canadian officer could update their side of things for me, but that officer wasn’t available. I was given a business card with the phone number to the Canadian Processing center that handles BC and told to leave a detail message and someone will get back to me with instructions on how to have my info updated by Canada.

I tried calling the number several times, but the voicemail box was full. The last time I called, I stayed on the line and an automessage started to play mentioning extension numbers and how to access voicemail boxes over the phone. After all of that if said it would now connect me to an operator. Someone then actually picked up!

I explained that the US side updated my info and I was told to call this number to have Canada update in their side. The operator confirmed this was correct and proceed to ask if I wanted to fax or email my info. I chose email and was give a person to email copies of the certificate, passport, and Nexus card for the update. I was then told that I would receive an email confirming the update once it was done.

I emailed everything a day ago and am now just in wait mode. Hopefully, it will only take a few weeks.
Thank you for this! I just remembered I have the email address for when I needed to update my Nexus card with my PR card info. Just emailed them- fingers crossed I get a response.

It seems that Candian side enrollment centers are not yet opened, unlike US side. So possible delay.
Yes, the Canada sides aren’t open, that’s why I swung by the US side. As I mentioned in my post, Canada seem to be doing updates, just not in person.

Yeah, I’m hoping I hear back soon. I did try going to the Blaine center on my way back to Canada a few days later to see if the Canadian officer was available, but no luck.

Update: A Canadian official email me back saying my info has been updated. So, it was about a 2 day turn around. Very quick!
Are you able to confirm the updated information. I called the Detroit enrollment center and they asked me to reply their email with the copies of passport. Not sure if they will update or ask to come in.

For those that need to update Nexus information, you can contact the CBSA office near you, leave a voicemail, and they'll call you back pretty quickly (and multiple times if you don't answer the first time). They'll give you the email to send the copies and a fax number for the US side of things. Once CBSA updates things on their side, they'll reply to confirm. Total time for the Canadian side to process things for me was less than a day.

The US side does not have the email option because they're back in the dark ages still, but there are free 'email to fax' options you can use.

The Nexus dashboard has been updated with both passports (and PR info removed) as of today. No confirmation received from USCBP, however I flew through Chicago yesterday and was asked why I was not using the Nexus kiosks by CBP. When I explained I was waiting for Blaine CBP to update it, he was like "oh, you're good now." Guess he was right.

My profile now has me listed as a citizen of Canada and the US with both passports listed. So, everything looks good. I’m going to be traveling soon and will try it. I don’t expect any issues though.

This is how you know it's updated. You should be fine.

Glad to hear. I finally received an email from Detroit Nexus that my passport has been updated. However, when I login, I still see my citizenship still shows India, but with Canadian passport details. Something doesn't add up here.

My lists both my citizenships, but I was told that my US one would come up as default.

Just out of curiosity, I thought India didn’t allow dual citizenship, at least that’s what all my Indian friends. Has that changed?

What email address did you contact? I will likely have to do the same process.
