Sounds good, if you can summon the patience. Looks like they don't do much in the first 2 months. Now, this may vary by category. E.g, cec applicants used to get DM in 2-3 months so made sense to order early in their case. Am not sure about PNP.

Aor 31 aug...ordered gcms notes on dec 2 and got today..this is my 2nd time..1st note i received was till sept 30 which is 1 mth from AOR...It was normal like r10 ok..eca..celpip verified and pcc,offer letter received .
Suprisingly,my 2nd note which has data from 3 months of AOR has nothing new than of 1st notes. still security,criminality and eigibility not started.The only date changed is the due date.its now Jan 2 which was nov 2 on 1st note..Agent review has same as 1st note..not a single new word is added.for 2 months they just changed the due date...god knows how they work and how do they update things..i am not ordering gcms notes anymore..

It means they didn't do anything with your file since last time you ordered GCMS. They might be waiting for something related to your application or they are just busy doing something else only God knows. I am ordering my second GCMS note as well, no ghost email no nothing so far. Seems like nobody touch my file since the last update. I will see if there is anything new with my second GCMS.. but I doubt it..

Yes, I think I can be patient for first 3 months. R10 is only a check for completeness of the application, isn't it? If someone gets a document request, such as I got Sch 4/4A request, that would mean a Case officer has already looked into the app and done completeness. I think there is no point applying for GCMS and know that they've done only R10 while we can already assume this by other updates.

This confirms that we can order first GCMS notes after 3 months from AOR. Granted we'll get it at month 4, but atleast we'll get to know some important updates and not just cursory reviews. Maybe after 3 months, we can apply every month.

Do we get hard copy or soft copy or both for gcms notes? I ordered on 5th dec and still waiting

In my opinion, eligibility assessment on all the categories is a crucial and important step. We shouldn't underestimate the importance of this task ("nothing but"?). Good to know that they do this in the first few days of AOR, so if some ineligible application is submitted, it gets cancelled, rejected early and not made to wait for later.
Although you say that "nothing is done", it appears good work was done by CIC to review documents and check eligibility. This is sufficient progress for 1 month from AOR, isn't it? Of course, we all want officers to work only on our file alone, but there are also so many other applications. It appears they have a nice operational process established.

Guys Going through this thread , I am worried i have ordered my GCMS note too early. Can anyone suggest me if it is early or not.
MY AOR date is 5 Oct 2015 and I ordered GCMS on 30th DEC 2015 which is roughly around after 80 days of AOR. Is it too early. I am expecting it to get my notes in first week of Feb which is 4m after AOR
