Hello,

I have invited my husband from India to visit me on my convocation in Canada as I have completed my studies. We have applied online on 11th May, 2016 in the afternoon and received his refusal next day in the Morning. I was shocked because it was very instant. I wonder do they check our application or not. I am really very sad that how can they behave very cereless. We have prepare our documentation very properly. there is no chance to get refusal.

They rejected with common two reasons:

1. Travel history (Though my husband has traveled United states twice in last year- we have attached his flight tickets, boarding passes and his hotel stay in USA)
2. Family ties in Canada and country of residence (He provided all his employment letter to return to his work, bank balance worth $11000 CAD)

I don't understand what else they want?? We are leaving separate from almost last 2 years. Now I am planning to apply again with cover letter because I don't think they review my application.

Sorry to hear this.
If you reapply, most likely you will be refused because they never give you the real reason. You have to get the visa officer notes.

they are crazy . believe me refusing the right ones and giving visa to person who do not ever return.I think there should be judicial review available for CIC decisions.

I prepared my cover letter by mentioning those two reasons of rejection in detail. Putting my application again. Lets see.. I will update my reply. Hoping for the best.

Thanks

I'm so sorry to hear that. I got refused of visa twice as well. I addressed their reasons for refusal by providing documents and cover letter explaining it. I hope your husband will get his visa soon.

Did you include scanned copies of the US visa on this passport? Did you ensure all the passport pages were merged into one file? Or did you try upload multiple files in the travel section?

This was the exact reason CIC refuse his visa in first instance.
My good lord, why can't you ppl comply with the visa granted.

Exactly. There are hundreds of thousands of people who cheat and the visa/immigration officers are aware of this and they'll have troubles next time they knock on CIC's door.

Do you have a full time job that is NOC A, B or 0?

No, I dont have job right now..Is it necessary to have a job for applying his work permit?
According to CIC, for the work permit:

Your spouse or common-law partner must apply for a work permit for a specific employer. The employer may have to get a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA). An LMIA allows an employer to hire someone for a specific job.

LIMA extremely difficult to get and most employers do not want to go through the hassle.

The second option is that your spouse will have to file for an Open Work Permit, for which you will need to be:

a skilled worker in an occupation under the National Occupational Classification (NOC) skill type 0, A or B

However, I implore you to heed the advice of the other posters and ask your spouse to return to their country after their visit. It's workarounds like these that make it harder for legit visitors to get visas.
