Hello Members, I am planning on applying for TRV for my sister to come attend our marriage celebration reception for next year, we got married during Covid and never had a reception, mum is passed and my dad can’t travel due to some issues, so my sister is the only one who can come from my family, so am just wondering if that’s a strong reason for a purpose of travel
Thanks

It is a reason to travel. What is most important is her ties to return to home country, her own funds and strong travel history..

How about ties to her home country and her funds? It's just a reception. Can't you hold one in the home country, so that dad can attend?
Yes funds, and strong ties to home country are a lot, holding a weeding reception back home is more expensive and currently am committed to work and studies

All she can do is apply and see what happens. Because she has never travelled then it is good she has strong ties so she needs to focus on that - spouse, child, job letter with approved leave, investments, income property etc. She want to include her bank accounts showing cash. You can provide a letter of invitation. Given it is not a wedding, it is a reason to visit.

Thank you so much for your response and we shall take it from there
