Hi everyone,

I applied for a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) on April 23, 2025, as part of a group application for a leisure trip to Canada. Both of us submitted the same documents, itinerary, and purpose of travel.

My companion received their visa approval on May 13, but I haven’t received any update yet. It’s now been over a month, even though the average TRV processing time for India is around 20 days. But it’s been more than a month now… i am yet to get an update about my application.

This is my third application — the previous two were refused due to no strong ties to my country — so I understand there might be additional scrutiny. However, i have submitted strong supporting documents and everything was submitted accurately and completely this time.

I’ve already submitted a webform inquiry. Has anyone experienced a similar delay in a group application where only one person got approved? Any advice on what I should expect or do next?

Thanks in advance for your guidance!

Applications are still reviewed separately & can be approved or refused at different times. Having 2 refusals already may make the process longer. So you were principal applicant because have no idea what a companion is?

Thank you for replying, Companion- my boyfriend of 6 years, and we are gonna get married next year, and i have provided supporting documents for that too… we applied together under group visa and yeah i know the applications will be reviewed separately, but the sole purpose of canada visa is our pre wedding trip. He got the visa and i have no update… what can i expect?

Not a group visa. You are not related nor married so should have applied separately with separate accounts. All you can do is wait.
