Hello
I am Brazilian currently living in Canada with a valid student permit. I also have a valid visitor visa and eTA. I recently got married with a canadian man. We have completed all the documents for inland spousal sponsorship. I would like to visit my family in Brasil this year for one or 2 months, after we apply. Although I have all the requirements as mentionned on the CIC webpage (valid passport, eTA and student visa)
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=248&top=28
i am a bit worried that leaving Canada for that period of time might jeopardize my application.
Am i worrying for nothing?
I saw on other threads from this forum that some people suggested to similar cases to go for Outland sponsorship but the problem is that i am currently living in Canada.
Should i go for outland application and if i do can i stay in Canada (and travel) during the process?
Lot of questions! thanks for your assistance
All the best

A week or two out of the country is ok but anything more while applying inland is pushing it and risking your application. We applied outland for this very reason - my husband was able to come and go as needed though he didnt. You may not be qualified as inland according to the CIC agent if you leave for that long as you have to remain in canada

If you plan to travel for a month or two, outland would be a better bet. Yes you can definitely apply as outland even though you are actually IN Canada.

I would have a last question then (hopefully).
We have filed all the forms got all our documents, pay the fees, biometrics and we were gonna send it to the Mississauga adress (inland).
Until last night, i had no idea about the outland option (which i undestand is faster and would allow me to travel to Brasil for 2 months).
Now my question is: is the only difference between Inland and Outland the adress you mail your application to?

Also is there a difference in the fees? We were asked this question while paying the fees:

Where will your spouse live while we process your application?
-My spouse is already living with me in Canada and will stay while our application is processed.
-My spouse lives outside Canada right now or plans to leave Canada while our application is processed

I am worry its too late to send it to the Outland adress since we answered the first option.

Again thanks so much for your help

You need to change inland to outland in the checklist.

For the fees, inland applicants are exempt from biometrics but outland applicants are not. You will need to pay the biometrics fee. You will receive the biometrics request during the processing and you will need to have biometrics done outside of Canada, so plan for that.

Thanks for you answer :)
Ok i see the option now on the document checklist imm 5533 but im confuse on which option to choose of those 2 .
Which one would apply to my situation?(currently in Canada with a study permit, planning to visit Brasil for 1 or 2 months during my application)
Thanks!

5. Class of Application ......outland......choose option 1 or 2

1. I am currently living outside Canada, and I am applying under the Family Class.

2. I am currently living in Canada, and I am applying under the Family Class (not under the Spouse or Common-Law Partner in Canada Class). I understand that I may be convoked to attend an interview at a visa office outside Canada.
