Hello everyone

We applied to come to Canada in 2022 and my family (Me, my husband and my 2 children) received Visit Visa in our passports till 2032.
In 2023 I applied and received my Student Visa till 2025-June.
Along with that my husband received Work Visa till 2025-June.
The children's applications were withdrawn as they already had Visit Visa.

We came to Canada in 2023-May and we received my study permit, husband's work permit and children's visitor records till 2025-April.
I took a summer break in 2024 and therefore my final exam was shifted to 2025-November.
Then we got my study permit, husband's work permit and children's visitor records extended till 2026-February.

We are planning to travel to our home country in 2025 December for 3 weeks and return.
We contacted IRCC and they informed us to apply TRV through the link https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/visit-canada/apply-visitor-visa.html.

Below are my concerns
1 - Is a TRV the same as the visit visa stamp in our passport ?
2 - Since we already have Visit visa, can we travel outside Canada and return without a TRV or Visa stamps?
3 - If we apply TRV as per above link and get Visitor status when returning to Canada, can I apply for my Post graduate work permit and can my husband continue to work ?
4 - Do my children need TRV as they already have Visit visa ?

Thank you in advance.

Is everyone's visit visa a multiple entry or single entry?

You’ll need to look at new requirements for students to qualify for PGWP, SOWP and study permits for children. Having your family in Canada or getting PGWP is no longer guaranteed.
