Hi, I'm a foreign mother who as my son's sponsor (International Student) were planning to go to Canada to help him settle (as he is financially dependent on me and his father) to also ensure he has everything he needs is covered. We both have an eTA and Quarantine plan, at check in time in the airport, they informed me that I can't board until I have an Authorization Letter from the Embassy. After many readings in the IRCC I saw that Immediate family members of international students won't need a written authorization if they plan to travel with the international student. I contacted the consulate in my country they picked the line, they mentioned I still need the letter. I wrote to the embassy through email, they provided a link. When I submitted I got a reply from (with do not reply and email to...) assuming I'm Canadian and requesting proof of citizenship. I wrote to this email link provided that I'm not Canadian, and that I'm accompanying my son, and I hope to be there prior to his class that is starting 5th may. 1 week passed in vain, I wrote the email 3 days back with no response, I feel helpless and need support if any one knows the exact email to submit the *authorization letter* to.
