I still cannot login to Ecas. Though I was able to check application status on the phone service of CIC call centre (for in-Canada applicants).

Good to know that you can log onto Ecas. I haven't recieved any correspondence from CIC and my CC was charged on Nov 19th. May be because I have my spouse on my application, which might be causing the delay. I hope I get something soon.lilotia said:Hi lahorimunda

I logged in to ecas too, the status is updated to "Application received"
Email is part of a barcoded form, whatever you type they will scan it to their system. they do not manually type it everytime they need to email you.lahorimunda said:Good to know that you can log onto Ecas. Does anybody know if there is a recommended time by CIC after which you can call and check the status of the application. I want to check the status because I have had problems with emails before. My email address ends with ".ca" and I have had this happen to me before that people send emails to the ".com" address.

If that is the case then how come some people have issues getting emails. I have read on this forum that people did not get AOR email but got MR and found out that their AOR was sent to the wrong address by CIC.TRUONGAN said:Email is part of a barcoded form, whatever you type they will scan it to their system. they do not manually type it everytime they need to email you.
Hi pangandoy, pangandoy said:I haven't received my AOR since it was delivered to CIO last 11 October 2012. Different scenarios are running in my head right now. At first, I assumed my application is being returned due to probably some errors on the form when I filled them out. I went to the post office today and no post mail for me. Or it could be that post delivery time takes longer than a month. Second, came in the thought of the probability that it could have been misplaced somewhere in CIO. (Well, you can't blame a man who is anxious and desperate to get his AOR. Result is paranoia. lol )
Then I read about an alleged AOR sent to a different e-mail. Are there really cases where CIO sent AOR/s to the wrong e-mail address? My e-mail address have "rn", those are letters "r" and "n". What if they have in their database for my e-mail is letter "m" like Mary, instead of "rn"? Looks quite similar to me, "rn" and "m".
But, I am sure I completed the form with my correct e-mail address. About the scanning stuff they do on the barcodes, how does it work? When they scan it, all the information I supplied will come out in their screen and saved? Is it the reason that we do the validation when we fill-out the forms (IMM 0008)?
