Good to see good news and updates.

For those who have received MR, can you check at the bottom of your email to see the initial of the person that sent it. Is it the same for everyone?

Mine is NP. Is this my visa officer in Ottawa? I want to find out if medical request mean the application has passed initial screening conducted by a visa officer, or is it just a step done by clerk people at CIO?

You should have paid with a credit card then you wont have to go thru this headache.

Anyway, I hope they send out AOR by batch. Provided urs was received on Oct 10 give it a couple more days to see how things go.

Best of luck to you

Hi friends,
My medical has been done today. Now waiting again.

@ TRUONGAN

Yeah, my bad. I was just concerned that payment will be declined when they use my credit card or might encounter issues charging through it and return the application. Although I have used it to pay a certain fee to OIIQ (a Professional Regulation in Quebec) and nothing went wrong when they charged it. I thought that CIO is strict so, to avoid such incident to happen I decided to get DD instead.

I don't know if I can wait another week. I'm trying to be patient though. I have no choice but, I will be giving the request letter to the bank's branch on Monday for the verification of the status of my DD. Then go to the Central Post Office as well to inquire if there is any mail addressed to me. I have no idea what could be wrong if my application is returned back to me. I hope not.....

Congrats for getting your MR by the way. :)

Thanks!

@wockamit

Good to hear that!
Probably your PR will be this December.

Just out of curiosity and boringness.

Though I'm not applying inside Canada, I tried calling these numbers:

Call Centre telephone number: 1-888-242‑2100

Automated telephone service (available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week)
If you have a touch-tone telephone, you can listen to prerecorded information about CIC programs, and check the status of your application.
Call Centre agents - Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., your local time, except for statutory holidays. Services are available in French and English.

If you are deaf or hard of hearing, or you have a speech impediment and use a text telephone, you can access the TTY service from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. your local time by calling 1-888-576‑8502.

However, a voice prompt says, "your call cannot be completed as dialed... Please check the number and dial again, ......two HH". What is "two HH"? I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

Yet, I can get through the TTY number. It's really weird because I can get through all CIC's toll-free numbers, but not "1-888-242-2100".

Thanks.

One way you can check your application status. Once your payment is taken, your status will be updated on their phone system immediately

Call 18882422100, dial 1-2-1 , enter client ID, enter year of birth, you will hear status.

@ TRUONGAN

Thank you very much! :)

Unfortunately, I can't get through 18882422100. When calling 18882422100 it says, "Your call cannot be completed as dialed. Please check the number and dial again.". But, when I tried calling all other numbers of CIC like TTY: 1-888-576‑8502; Passport Canada: 1-800-567-6868; Service Canada: 1-800-622-6232 etc., they all worked.

Thanks.
