Tracking PNP October 2012 applications to Nova Scotia

Just like PNP, I'm already accepted by Quebec and was issued with CSQ.

This is my profile/timeline
Stream : QSW-FSW
Location : applying outside Canada (Manila will be the VO)
Sent to CIO, NS : 6 October 2012
Delivered to CIO, NS : 11 october 2012 (as per DHL)
AOR from CIO : ......???? (hoping, eager, wanting, expecting, anticipating and trusting)
MR & RPRF : My wish this Christmas.
PPR : My new year's wish?
Received passport with the red maple leaf : I'll use my advance birthday wish for this.




How do I know if the application that I sent to Centralized Intake Office (CIO), NS is probably being sent back to me?

The bank told me they can't verify if DD has been encashed or not. More than 6 weeks had past and I have not received any AOR yet from CIO. I'm assuming there is something wrong with my application. It concerns me, because all those that I got acquainted with that also applied under the same stream received their AORs from CIO within just 5 weeks.

In fact, on the 45th day last 25 Nov. 2012 since my application was delivered. I sent an e-mail to CIO to request for case information, because according to CIC's website I can contact CIO, NS if my application is more than 6 weeks old. ......and I'm waiting for their reply, if there is one.

I am being patient. However, there is just a huge cloud of uncertainties right now.

I liked your wish to get MR this Christmas etc...

I believe it's taking approx 2 months to get AOR/MR for the out side Canada applicants. I am sure you are still in the safe mode. Because Oct first week applicants started getting AORs as you can see few posts on this thread.

Oct second week applicants Credit cards or cashier's checks are being charged now....you can see few posts on this as well...so, don't be worried, you will get it soon.

As per my understanding, the bank should be able to know whether the check or draft has been encashed or not. I have done this before....and also many people did it. Better you talk to your bank again and ask them whether it's encashed or not.

Thanks for cheering me up. Well, I truly wish that everyone's application will be processed immediately and will receive AOR gifts from CIO to completely enjoy the upcoming holiday season.

I really hope that everything is going smoothly on my application.

I agree, my issuing bank should be able to verify if DD has been encashed. I will give them a ring today again.

Are you sure you haven't got AOR email? CIO already sent out AOR for second week of October and you are in the first week batch (Oct 4). You should check your spam email folder. or try to find out the status of your bank draft.

Bank where you bought your money order should have a system to track if it has been encashed or not. Even Canada Post can tell you, there no reason why bank can't.

I havent got my AOR either.. my application reached on 10th. I'm not sure if the representative or I, the applicant would get that email.

Since your application was reached CIO on Oct 10, I believe you need to wait for at least 10 more days to get your AOR (If you are out side Canada applicant). One more thing is, if you have a representative, you will not get AOR on your email...it goes directly to your representative. Then your representative will communicate with you.

Since your application was reached CIO on Oct 10, I believe you need to wait for at least 10 more days to get your AOR (If you are out side Canada applicant). One more thing is, if you have a representative, you will not get AOR on your email...it goes directly to your representative. Then your representative will communicate with you.

Thanks Sarayu. Mine is an in-Canada application and that's the reason i'm so restless..
I've emailed my representative asking if they've received anything. Hope they respond soon....

Sadly, no, I have not received any AOR yet. I checked every corner of my e-mail and nothing's from CIO. I have a bad feeling about my application.

The first time I phoned the bank, the bank employee told me that there's is no way they can check the status of the DD.
Yesterday, I called them again (exactly the bank's branch that issued my DD) as suggested by @ sarayu.

Phone conversation...
Me : I'd like to verify if my DD has been encashed.
Bank : I'm sorry, but we cannot verify on that. (me: sigh)
Me : Are you sure? How come other banks can do verification if DD has been encashed or not? Don't you keep records of it?
Bank : ----The bank representative asked me too many questions as to why do I need to check if my DD has been processed, etc. I told him the whole story and the reason why. Then he explained, blah blah blah yada yada yada. To make it short, they (bank branch) needs to coordinate with their head office which does the verification which will take like 2 weeks to do that.
Me : that long....?! (disappointed)
Bank : Yes, and you need to give us a request letter. Then we will be the one to forward it to the head office.
Me : ok (but in my head, never mind!)

that makes us two, restless due sleeplessness.... Maybe, as well as others on this forum too. Seriously, can't sleep these days thinking the whereabouts of my AOR. You'll probably receive your AOR this week.

i a have one quetion, my file recieved by cio on 14th nov. , my name on nomination letter is not correct surname is not written.
now i recieve correct nomination letter form SINP, i dont have any file no. from cio, what should i write on envelop that they include these extra doc's to my orignal file.any experinced guy hepl me.
