Hi GLORIOUS FAVOUR,

Thanks for the time lines. but looking at your time lines, you are from October 2012. So, you may please join October group.

Coming to your medicals, did you get in touch with your doctor if they have forwarded your medical reports to CIO? Did you ask them for tracking number of your package? If yes, you can track it and you can be able to know when was it reached at CIO.

One more thing is, the people took medicals in the second half of Jan 2013 are getting their ECAS updated now. So, you may see your ECAS status update any time now. I have finished my medicals on Jan 25th, but still my ECAS hasn't been updated. I hope nothing to worry about it.

For more information about Accra VO and people stay in Nigeria, you may look at the Nov track sheet.

All the best my friend.

Thanks,
Sarayu.

Hi folks,

Sorry for absent from this forum for a while. I have some information want to share with you.

It's a really bad time for the market now, here in Calgary. I'm currently working for an engineering and design firm company, and couple weeks recently, there are lot of employees got laid off, due to shortage of projects and workload. It scares the crap out of me to I think what could happen if I got laid off.

So, I called the AINP representative, asking what would happens and here is what they told me:

For the Engineering Occupations Category or the Strategic Recruitment Stream in general, immigration process won't be stopped if the applicants got laid off. Applicants just need to notify the PNP office that they're no longer working for that employer.

Only those applicants who sponsored by the employers like the Employer-Driven Stream, immigration process will be affected if applicants got laid off.

This information is what I was told by the representative from Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program. For other provinces, I have no idea if they apply the same concept like Alberta.

Wish you all the best,

Thanks

Hi tam_ngo,

It's long time I saw your messages. Thanks for the info buddy. I wish you will continue with your current job. I am also an AINP applicant and I had this question in my mind too. But I was told by my representative that I have to be on my H1B visa in USA only until I get my AINP Nomination. I believe there will not be any hurdles now. Wish every one here good luck and get our PRs without any issues.

Please keep sharing such kind of info if you have any in future...because you guys are already living in Canada and may have more updates than any other applicants living outside.

Thanks again my friend.

hi guys!

i beg to disagree,we were also here in calgary, and nothing like that is happening maybe in your industry(im sorry to here that)but in all blue collar jobs things was great,in fact there's a lot of people coming from other provinces who was moving here in calgary because they got a good job here.

hope that we all get our PPR soon
God so good and He will grant our prayers!

we are all frustrated, should we contact LVO regarding our cases? pl comment Zizu, supa chiefmissile and DCCMJ.

there is nothing wrong in contacting LVO - I have contacted them before and they said file is awaiting review. I contacted them again last week but no response since then.

I think something went missing in LVO

That was just what I'm experiencing with Oil and Gas clients, which I've been working with, and what I have read from news. Maybe I'm wrong

Good to hear that other industries are still in good shape.

Sorry, I have no intention to scare people. Please don't judge me.

Thanks

If you look at the timeline of other applicants who are being processed through London, you will see that the trend at the moment is 4-6 months, however there have been a few applicants where it has been 2 months after AOR from Sydney, but not many. In my case I received AOR from Sydney on 23 jan, so like you I am approaching the 8 week stage. Last year many applicants received MR within 4-6 weeks from AOR.

There gas also been a dramatic increase in PR applicants, but no increase in staff at the London VO, causing increased workload, meaning more time taken to process.

Lets hope that my analysis is wrong. Good luck

Regards

Andrew

I agree with you on this... But interestingly there aren't many applicants from August, sep oct who are getting any updates from LVO... Which makes me wonder if aug/ sep applicant aren't getting MR there is hardly any chance we'll move up the queue.

The timelines of couple of feb/mar 2012 guys suggests LVO took 6+ months to send MR and that scares me... I was hoping my case will be done and dusted in 6-8 months and I'll be able to make it before the school year starts and my kids won't have to miss the year... But now it seems if I get the MR by June I should count myself Lucky :)
