Hello guys, congrates to all who are getting their basic steps clear without any hassle.
i have some bad news to share with you guys, i went for medicals yesterday. Doctor said i have some blood in my urine and they gonna sent it for detailed analysis.
This thing will surely stretch my processing time. :(

Hello everyone,
I received my LAO and sent the complete application package along with the demand draft to Nova Scotia in last week of November,12.
I am from India.
I haven't received any response as yet. Which Visa Office will contact me, Nova Scotia or New Delhi? and How? Will they send e-mail or a postal communication? Please reply.
Thanks.

hi sarayu,

i got a phone call from my bank yesterday jan. 10 informing me that my bank draft has been encashed last december 13. does that mean that my application was approved and am i to receive an AOR soon?

@ ninonhet:
It's very good to hear that your draft has been en-cashed....Congratulations on your first step. Looks like atinsingh has already updated your info on the track sheet.

Yes, it means your application was considered COMPLETE and it you will be receiving your AOR in next two weeks max.

@ jd1:
Happy to hear about you as well. You will be receiving your AOR in next two weeks max.

I have added you to the Nov tracking sheet. Please take a look at the tracking sheet. I really appreciate you if you can provide me all the missing time lines and details. Good luck for everything.

@ mhey:
I have added you to the Nov tracking sheet. Please take a look at the tracking sheet and let me know your complete details. If you have paid the processing fees with a bank draft, it's going to take some time. If it's by Credit Card, it should have already been charged by this time. Because Nov last week applicants Credit Cards have already been charged.

Please tell me more about your case...where did you apply from? Are you in-Canada applicant?

@ ManjuCa:
I am very happy for you to see your update. I am sure you must be in the air and flying now.....hehe. I have updated your payment ec-cashed date on the track sheet. So now, just enjoy your weekend and you will get your AOR hopefully in 2 weeks.

If you notice in the track sheet, Nov 2nd week applicants have just started receiving their AORs now. So, I believe it takes at least 15 to 20 days for you to get your AOR provided your application is COMPLETE. If CIO determines your application is COMPLETE, they will send you AOR via email (if your application was submitted by yourself), otherwise they will send AOR email to your representative directly. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks,
Sarayu.

Sorry to hear that. Hope your further analysis will turn out fine.

I have a question. When can we start using ECAS? I tried but it couldn't identify me.

@ jagga:
I don't think that your application processing time gets affected just because of blood content in the urine. As per my understanding, it's just your personal matter and which doesn't effect Canadians if you are issued with PR. That's what I think but I may be wrong. All the best.

@ polaris star:
As I noticed earlier, it takes a couple days for you to login your ECAS page. Hopefully you should be able to logon there by Monday.

does cio sydney do background checks and all that or ottawa/visa office?

Hi steffi80,

Now a days I have heard that CIO Sydney itself processing some applications. So, in that case CIO should also be doing the whole thing like background checks and all.

Thanks,
Sarayu.

but if they forward it to another visa office, the particular visa office does those checks, right?

Secondaly I am only able to login to ECAS by using my GIVEN NAME as FAMILY NAME, will that also make a diffrence ?

Thank You

Hi deepharman,

Firstly, I have added you to the Nov tracking sheet. Coming to your question, what exactly written on your passport? There is no Family Name at all on your passport? If yes, why did you not correct it before? This might lead to confusions every time. Anyway, as per your info, it should not be any problem because your medical forms show as it is on your passport. But I suggest, please correct your passport as soon as you can.

Thanks,
Sarayu.

I have noticed that Medical Request is either coming on Wednesday/Thursday. Hopefully, I get mine coming Wednesday.

Hey Sarayu,

Thank You for your reply but what If I do not have a family name, How can I correct my passport? I am from india we have first name, last name and surname so as I do not use my surname which is not even on my birth certificate too and I guess surname is the FAMILY NAME. On my passport its is ONLY GIVEN NAME and as I do not have a FAMILY NAME its blank. Can you please let me know how to correct my passport?

I'm definitely relieved! You can also update my missing details: applying from outside of Canada and paid by credit card. Thanks and have a wonderful weekend.
