Hi atinsingh,

I can understand your situation. Honestly, I was also in the same kind of situation before my draft got en-cashed...infact it was much more as my application got returned twice before. I suggest you, please be patient and you will get directly your AOR on one FINE day.

Thanks,
Sarayu.

Hi Sarayu,

I was suprised to hear that your application was returned twice! Could you please share with us why you application was returned 2 times? This will let us all know if we have made the same mistakes.

Regards

Andrew

guys if its ok to ask how does an AOR looks like and what is the email used by the CIO? thanks!

Not sure about AOR since am waiting for it as well. I did however add "@cic.gc.ca" and "@international.gc.ca" to my safe senders list so CIC emails dont land in spam folder. It would be helpful if someone who has received AOR could confirm these email addresses. Thanks.

Congrats Pareyles and zeabbas!

Just wondering, what's the title of the AOR email you've received from CIC? Thanks :)

steffi80, I'm in Vancouver, applying through the BC PNP.
There is a BC PNP tracker online: http://pnp.appspot.com/

yes I am already signed in there. but nothing really happens there. I see, we 've got our nomination on the same day :)

Hi Sarayu,

as your file was returned twice , so would you like to share the experience as in how much time after submission u did received back the application. for example my file was received on 8th Nov in CIC as confirmed through courier, then they most probably have examined it by 8th -10th DEC, so in your opinion when should i may receive it in case of any discrepancy. you know i am more worried coz in 3rd our country normal mail service is not that reliable. so i am more worried about loss of application. moreover is there any way to contact CIC in case of no return and no AOR? pl pl advice and help.

Hi Khan78,

If you look into the tracking sheet, "Pareyles (application date - 6th Nov)" has got AOR just yesterday. Since your's is a bank draft and you don't have any updates as of now. I am still very positive in your case that you MIGHT get your AOR in next couple days. Just in case if CIO think that you did not provide all the necessary documents, I don't know how it will be becuse CIO sends packages just with a regular mail. Unfortunately, we can't contact CIO before you get AOR. I am sorry my friend. But just HOPE FOR THE BEST....don't be worried.

I am gonna share my experiences in my next post....it's very lengthy....be ready.

Thanks,
Sarayu.

Hi Khan78 & chiefmissile:

I think few of our Nov friends know that my application was returned twice. However, I think it's good idea to share the detailed info once again at this point of time, so that everyone can know if they have done the same mistakes. So, here is my story...it's really lengthy, but please go through it.

First of all...I have a representative and they are located in Canada. So, they had submitted my application to CIO for the first time on May 24, 2012 (I mean received at CIO). But, CIO had returned my application to my representative's office on June 25, 2012. The reason was, initially I had submitted my birth certificates which I was issued at Indian consulate (based on the passport information) as we don't have actual birth certificates. The same thing with my wife's birth certificate as well. So, CIO did not accept consulate issued birth certificates. They wanted to have a copy of ACTUAL BIRTH CERTIFICATES which we get at the time of birth OR supporting documents...see below the list. Usually in India, we get the birth certificate from local Municipalty office. In case if we don't have actual birth certificate from Municipalty office, we need to provide any one of the following documents.

NOTE: Any of the following document MUST show the FULL NAME of the applicant and FULL NAME of both parents (OR) father (OR) mother.

1. Copy of actual birth certificate from Municipal office.

2. Copy of school leaving certificate (10th or 12th class).

3. If actual birth certificate is not available, you should get "No Birth Record" certificate from the municipality office where you belong to. In this case you have

to provide CIO a solemn document saying that you are the son/daughter of your parents (self declaration document).

4. If you can't even get "No Birth Record" certificate from the municipality office, your mother (OR) father (OR) both have to provide a notary document

confirming that you are their son/daughter and confirming your birth details. In this case also you have to provide CIO a solemn document saying that you are

the son/daughter of your parents (self declaration document).

NOTE: If your school leaving certificate doesn't show full name, please DO NOT send it to CIO. I am sure they will return your application to you again.

So, I have choosen option number 3 from above and re-submitted my application back to CIO on July 12, 2012. But unfortunately, CIO had returned my application again to my representative's office on Sep 20, 2012. Now the reason is WRONG MODE OF PAYMENT.

Actually I did send a Bank Draft in USD currency which was not acceptable. As per CIO, the funds MUST ONLY be in Canadian currency...which I never knew. The surprising thing is, I was told by my representative that USD is acceptable. I really don't know guys how professional these representatives are.

So, when my application was returned FIRST TIME, CIO did not question about mode of payment. They just asked me to provide birth certificates/alternative documents which I listed above.

Here is VERY INTERESTING STORY starts now. By the time my application got returned second time, my AINP Nomination has got expired. CIO clearly mentioned in their letter that, I should get my Nomination Extension first then re-submit the application with Canadian currency.

My representative has filed a law suit against AINP....so, they said, it may get rejected if they request for my Nomination extension. So, I had sent request application to AINP explaining everything with a cover letter. I have submitted complete evidence and all supporting info to AINP. It was my VERY BIG LUCK and AINP accepted my request in 4 business days.....and finally I have received the AINP Nomination Extension exxxxactly on my BIRTHDAY... :) :) :)....it was a great gift for me by AINP....it's all God's grace guys.

So, I have paid money to my representative and requested them to purchase a bank draft for me. They did it and re-submitted my application to CIO on Nov 14, 2012 (I mean received at CIO).

My time lines are as follows:
Aug 19, 2009 - Application to AINP
Mar 01, 2012 - Received AINP Nomination
May 24, 2012 - Application received at CIO
June 25, 2012 - CIO returned my application first time
July 12, 2012 - Re-submitted to CIO first time
Sep 20, 2012 - CIO returned my application second time
Nov 14, 2012 - Re-submitted to CIO second time
Dec 14, 2012 - Bank Draft en-cashed...(as per my representative's info....but I don't believe in them unless I receive AOR)

So friends, please let me know if something is not clear for you. Or just send me personal message so that I will reply back to you as soon as I can.

Wish you all very best of luck.

Thanks,
Sarayu... :) :) :)
