Depending on how the nomination confirmation was sent to you (email or postal mail) just make a copy for your personal file ( if it was sent by postal mail) and send the original to CIO. Depending on the province that nominated you there are usually stamps or seals on the nomination certificate that comes by post. If u got it by email, just print it off and send the printed version along with your complete application by the checklist to the CIO. Cic just needs the confirmation of nomination certificate number, your province has sent in an electronic copy to them. since your province had specific information intruction for you to send originals, just do as I ve suggested above and you will be just fine. Cheers

Do you guys know see if I can switch job if I am still waiting for my PR. I am under PNP - Strategic Occupations. The job is within the same company, but different department. ( its a promotion )

Since the job is in thesame company I don't see why you should announce it to anyone. You got a job, you were nominated as a result of that job offer. Your performance was so brilliant you got a promotion faster than most in thesame company. To me it doesn't matter. Your nomination work permit is issued with a condition for you to work with that company only. It's not position specific. Just make sure the salary in your offer letter you used for nomination approval is consistent or not lower than what you would be earning in your new position. Asides that, you should be fine.

My suggestion is dat you first make a copy for your self, then include a copy amongst the documents as instructed in checklist, but if your letter of nomination was issued by MANITOBA, just like in my case, it was specifically stated that the original LOA be placed on top of the documents to be submitted at CIO.This is exactly what I did, I had my fears initially, but since this is the instruction, I should adhere strictly, AND i DID ADHERE!.

You may also scan the original LOA and keep same in your archive, (it is as good as original) , and then place the original LOA on the top of your application package .

Best of luck dearie....

I got my file number from CIO-NS today. :) According to the email my application will be send to a VO but they didn't mention which visa office. Will I get another AOR when my application reaches a VO/Ottawa?

Hi pineapple,

That's great to hear from you...one more step ahead...so, it took little more than a month for you to get AOR. When was your credit card charged? Coz, my application was received at CIO on July 12th and my cashier's check has not yet en-cashed.

Request you please share your time lines in your profile area (right below your profile name) so that everyone can see our time lines and compare.

Thanks,
Sarayu.

My application was received on June 29 and my credit card was charged on July 26. I have updated my profile but there was no option for the date on which your credit card was charged, so I couldn't update that.

So why is it that sarayu hasn't received an AOR, he filed earlier? but pineapple got it?

My documents were received by CIO NS on 9th Jul 2012. Awaiting AOR eagerly.

Hey stone8198,

Initially my application was received by CIO on May 24, 2012. Later I was requested for documents. I have re-submitted my application along with the requested documents and it was received by CIO on July 12, 2012 (which is later than pineapple)...

Thanks,
Sarayu.

Hi chatdips,

My application was received at CIO on July 12, 2012...our time lines are very close...has your credit card got charged or not yet? I sent a cashier's check and is not yet en-cashed.

Request you please fill in your profile information with your time lines...that would be easy for everyone.

Thanks,
Sarayu

sarayu,

actually i had missing doc request as well, it took almost ONE extra month to process from my experience. I got request from them for missing doc as well. my time line was like that.

first submission 13 April
doc requested 22 may
received application 6 June
received AOR 18 July

biometrix,

There are restrictions on my work permit including my province, my company, my current title and department. I dont want to miss this career opportunity, however, I don't want to have any delays on my application. :'(
