Hello Guys, I'm joining the forum today. It is good to know that many people are assessing progress on their cases impatiently like me.

I applied to CIO under Aberta PNP, my application was received there on July05, 2012 but still waiting for receipt of acknowledgement!

Hi friends,

My PR application was received at CIO, Nova Scotia on July 12, 2012 and I have no clue on my application as of now (it was actually re-submission along with requested documents). I have sent a cashier's check along with my application and as of last Friday (July 27, 2012) it was not encashed. My concern is that, my Alberta nomination is getting expired on Aug 28, 2012.

So, the question is, do I have to receive AOR (OR) is it fine if the check gets encashed before the nomination expires?

Please clarify me.

Thanks,
Sarayu.

The expiry date means your application should have reached their office before that date. No one has power to decide on when cic CIO process filess Recieved.

is it possible to use debit card instead of paying by credit card?

thanks

No, why not follow what's on the instruction already? You can use a visa debit card now issued by rbc that's if you are in Canada asides that, follow the instruction guide.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5620E.pdf doesn't have debit card as a method of payment.

Hi roxiexclusive,

I believe yes you can use debit card as well. I don't see any issue.

Its better to use credit card or bank drafts. They don't accept debit card payments.
