Why I am not getting passport request? Probably I am the only February applicant within Canada who is left!!!
:( :( :(

Guys any idea WHY?

I am thinking to request field notes? Is it a good idea or it further delays the process?

I finally got around to driving to the border last night, so now I'm a PR! Just waiting on them to mail me my PR card. They gave me a little Canadian flag, which is a nice keep sake.

Hi guys,

I received my COPR yesterday in the mail and being only 40 mins from the border (and not wanting to waste another minute) drove across the border to pick up a few items and then completed the landing process at the Lewiston bridge. It went very smoothly and I'm glad the waiting is over.....for some reason I'm not as excited as I thought I would be. ..perhaps it hasn't really sunk in yet. In any event thank you guys so much for the support. ..westzu, gn5391 (I hope I got that right) you guys have done a great job in keeping this thread updated. By sharing our milestones we were able to have an idea of how far we were in the process which made this entire process easier to endure. Thank you!

Some cases take a little bit longer, depends on the nationality and size of family.

If you feel comfortable, you can request the notes. I don't think it is a problem delaying your process, at least it is a sign to CIC that the applicant wants to know more about his/her application, in other words, the applicant feels the process takes longer than usual.

Don't worry, if nothing wrong with your application, you will get PPR.

Congrats, cegli. Finally it is your turn to "land".

Congrats, Chriscats. I find this is a rewarding job by sharing feels and timelines which can help give other feb crews an idea to envision a proximate date of next step.

I had the same feeling as yours since I got my PPR. I don't feel excited as I was anymore though I haven't received my PP back. I started thinking about the meaning of immigrating to Canada and the actual Canadian life that I am looking for, not just "Landed Immigrant" in name.

I am in the same boat as you. Applied in January under AINP, file went in-process on 19-Jun-13 and haven't received PPR yet. Last communication was RPRF on 20-Jul-13. Requested GCMS notes last week. I agree with westzhu's post, it can take a while with security clearances and all. Plus the PAFSO strike didn't help matters.

Ok guys seems like my tracker got activated and shipment should arrive on monday. Now, i am a little worried because mine is coming back before gn and westzhu's. Hopefully everything is fine and if someone else has got tracker activated, please do let me know asap.

Thanks,

Aman

Congrats Aman. There is no first come first serve order with PPR stamping at Ottawa, so you will be fine. Enjoy your new status and keep us posted.

pearlgtl,

Its really depressing and annoying but hopefully all of us will get PPR soon. I heard it depends on the nationality as well. Where are you from ? And I guess couple of weeks the strike was over.

Thanks for your reply!
