Just checked my e-CAS and saw the status has changed to "Decision Made". Don't know how long ago it happened. I haven't gotten anything else yet... hopefully it's the good kind of decision made! I guess they email you? Or send you a letter? I'm in Canada.

Cegli;

Do order your gcms notes asap; usually Decision made is done when they have already printed your visa. May be you have missed email from them or they forgot to send you an email. GCMS notes will show you when your visa was issued. Send the snap shot of gcms notes to ottawa; they will send you the PPR.

It will take 30 days for you to get notes.

Hope this helps

So there is a feb application get ppr (ottawa office) before jan application? I thought they go by date. I guess, they go random then.

Hello everyone!

CIC asked for Right of pr fees on 5 august which I paid 10 august.
My e.cas status showing IN PROCESS from 16 july. Still waiting for further news.
Any idea that how long does it take after fees paid.

Hi there,

I am in the same boat as you are. My application went to IN PROCESS on 10 July, 2013 and since then I have not heard back from them. I paid my landing fee without request in early August. I guess wait is the only thing we can do right now.
Have you applied within Canada?

Yes. I am in Canada applicant.

Hi All My feb friends,

Finally I Landed as " Permanent Residence of Canada " ...! sorry delay in update.

I went border on last Sunday ( Carway , Ab ). it was not busy and It took less than 25 mints in total to complete all process including US procedure.

I crossed border and officer (US) told me to park my car and come in to the office. when I went into the office, they already have 1 page document ready and they handover it to me.

Then I re-entered into Canada and officer (CANADA) ask me few question like,

1. Do i have alcohol, fireworks or weapon in my car? Any criminal charges ?

2. how long i been into Canada? then he advise me to park the car and come in to the office.

When i went inside, another officer was there ( with my PP) and asked me for US refusal letter which US officer gave me, and to check my COPR information that is correct or not? he also asked me to write my mailing address on the back of US letter where my PR card will arrive. Then told me to wait in Waiting room for a sometime and after 5-10 minutes, he called me back & asked me to sign my COPR, and handed over my PP and COPR(signed) back to me saying that, now you have new status in Canada as "permanent residence ". also gave me one paper which has all the information regarding changing SIN number, applying for Health card and all.

All process went very smooth.

Thank you so much God and all of you my friends for helping me through out my process :) You guys going to get it soon :) :) :) God bless you all!!!!

Please update sheet :) GRV your post helped a lot :)

Congratulations, Buddy!
Good to know!

Hi Hrik,

I am new to this forum.

First of all, let me congratulate you on being a PR now.

I applied for PR in February (18th Feb).

Paid landing fees on July 4th.

Now I am waiting for PPR.

I have a question for you.

You have crossed the border & you do not have PR card yet.

Can you leave Canada for vacation?

Is it that the PR VISA is single entry visa only?

I hope you are still following the link & would respond to me.

you can't leave canada w/o pr card. if you do, you need to apply for some sort of visa from the country which you are in.

yes, PR visa is valid for single entry.

Hi HBB,

Arif.Jabbar is right.

I have crossed border because they have some allowance for landing process. Its just a basic formalities in which you have to come back to Canada.

Yes, they provided single entry visa, which was cancelled at the time of entry. They told my PR card will be arrived in 4 to 6 weeks and i have to keep it with me at the time of traveling abroad.
So, I guess i can leave country and come back only after i received my PR card.

I hope it help you! :)

Hi Atif, thanks very much for your feedback. I will explain here my case. My application date is 18th Feb. I paid landing fees on 4th July. If I receive PPR by this month end (hopefully) & if I submit my passport immediately, I will have my stamped passport back by probably October end. Instead of crossing the border immediately after receiving PP, I am planning to go to my home country on vacation in December & return in January. Won't that be considered as border crossing? Do I need to have some separate VISA in that case?

if you get your pp back stamped and validity on the visa is beyond your travel date; you can travel and come back ...it will be the same thing as you cross border here.. but remember you can enter once in canada and then you have to wait till your pr card comes.
