Please update my status, finally I got a PPR just now.

Your application for permanent residence in Canada is ready for finalization conditional to a final admissibility review by a visa officer. Should you be successful, you and your accompanying family members will be issued Confirmations of Permanent Residence (CPRs) which will be valid until 05/17/2014 (MM/DD/YYYY).

We require the following in order to proceed:

1. Completed Appendix “A” (attached). Please ensure that Appendix “A” is signed and dated and that you have clearly indicated your file number. We will not accept photocopies of Appendix A or unsigned forms. Your return address and all contact numbers must be clearly indicated for delivery purposes.

2. Clear photocopies of the passport biographical page for yourself and every family member who will accompany you to Canada. Please ensure that the validity of your passport(s) is at least six (6) months from the date of your planned travel to Canada as some airlines may not allow you to leave with a shorter validity passport.

3. Two (2) recent photographs of yourself and every family member who will accompany you to Canada. Detailed instructions for the photographer are enclosed (Appendix “B”). Take these instructions to the photographer in order to obtain photographs with the required specifications.

You must send above items (Appendix "A”, passport photocopies and photos) together BY COURIER TO:

Embassy of Canada, Visa Section / Unit B-EIU BIN
Level 6, Tower 2, RCBC Plaza
6819 Ayala Avenue
Makati City 1226
Philippines

We will make our best efforts to have the package returned to you by courier within 90 working days from the receipt at the Embassy.

Please submit the required information within thirty (30) days of this letter or risk refusal of your application for non-compliance.

You should not make any irrevocable plans to travel to Canada until you are in possession of your CPRs.

Sincerely,

Visa Section

HI Everyone,

I have a question for everyone. The company I used to work for has been acquired by another company which has offered me the same position but made me sign a new contract. Now, the contract is exactly same as the old one but with the new company name on it. I asked the immigration consultant who helped me file my permanent residence about this and she told me that we have to send them the new contract and provide an explanation.

Do you think, that this might delay my file? would they need to interview my employer again? would they ask me for an interview? or shall i just expect my PPR as normal as you guys?

Please let me know.

Aman

Aman,

Technically speaking you are still working with the same company so this should not change anything for you. Let your PNP office know about the change and see what they have to suggest, I am pretty sure it will have no impact on your application. Just an advice friend, think and make your final call. Good luck.

I know our patience is being tested but hang in there my friend Westzhu, we will get to our destination soon. On a personal note whenever I feel like complaining about this delay I look at pre july 2012 Ottawa applicants and then feel lucky/glad to be in a position to expect our PPR's.

Thanks, gn53914.

Maybe I was getting too high expecting PPR to come soon.

Therefore I can't bear with any reasons delay our process.

I know it will come one day but ... Let's .. I don't wanna repeat again.

I think I'd better disappear for a while till I got good news to share with you guys. :-X
