hello, just a question. i'm about to submit our application to cic. i used credit card to pay the processing fee and i had the receipt printed. in the intruction i have to attach the buttom portion (copy 2) to the application, what is the buttom part there, is it the one you filled up hand written?

Went through the same confusion. Make sure you include the receipt + handwritten copy, more is better here. Keep a copy with you for future reference.

I think now the avg time from INPROCESS to PPR is 90 days (before 45). I guess this is because they are processing buffalo files simultaneously with ours.

Hopefully mine takes less than 90 days, :'(

I have been following the below thread for updates on PAFSO strike..everyone's hoping for a decision soon. They have already argued in the labor board court.

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/pafso-apase-strike-related-content-t156287.195.html

My personal take on this is that Ottawa is one of the least impacted VO's as compared to the 15 others listed. There has been a team as part of business continuity that has kept the work pace up. Summers they were bit slow as most of the student visa's were being applied online and being directed to Ottawa from other Vo's. Now they are working out well... if you see Jan thread most of the pending ones got PPR"s in recent days. The latest I can see is for the person who went in process on '18 June', so looks like we are not far away. Buffalo files have always been there and should not impact the way PPR's are processed post June 2012. Let's hang in there and hope feb gets lucky soon too.

Thanks, gn53914! Your input are always valueable and greatly appreciated! :D

Let's wait and see what will happen by the end of the week!

Hello All,
I am new to this thread. My application is also in Feb, 2013 batch and still waiting for RPRF request. Also CIC doesn't even updated my status since June, 2013.

HI Everyone,

I have a question for everyone. The company I used to work for has been acquired by another company which has offered me the same position but made me sign a new contract. Now, the contract is exactly same as the old one but with the new company name on it. I asked the immigration consultant who helped me file my permanent residence about this and she told me that we have to send them the new contract and provide an explanation.

Do you think, that this might delay my file? would they need to interview my employer again? would they ask me for an interview? or shall i just expect my PPR as normal as you guys?

Please let me know.

Aman

This is a good news that can give all feb crews some inspiration.

Good morning everybody, another brand new week starts again.

September 12, 2013 is my 5th anniversary of landing in Canada. I came to Canada on September 12, 2008.

Hopefully by that date I can get my PPR. :'(

My original plan was getting PPR by late July/ August, and get the Passport back by Early September, then do the "Landing" on my September 12, 2013 to make that date special. If nothing goes wrong. What a beautiful dream.

Because of the strike, all these plans got messed up.

Ah~~~~~~~~Let's wait again. :-X

We require the following in order to proceed:

1. Completed Appendix “A” (attached). Please ensure that Appendix “A” is signed and dated and that you have clearly indicated your file number. We will not accept photocopies of Appendix A or unsigned forms. Your return address and all contact numbers must be clearly indicated for delivery purposes.

2. Clear photocopies of the passport biographical page for yourself and every family member who will accompany you to Canada. Please ensure that the validity of your passport(s) is at least six (6) months from the date of your planned travel to Canada as some airlines may not allow you to leave with a shorter validity passport.

3. Two (2) recent photographs of yourself and every family member who will accompany you to Canada. Detailed instructions for the photographer are enclosed (Appendix “B”). Take these instructions to the photographer in order to obtain photographs with the required specifications.

You must send above items (Appendix "A”, passport photocopies and photos) together BY COURIER TO:

Embassy of Canada, Visa Section / Unit B-EIU BIN

We will make our best efforts to have the package returned to you by courier within 90 working days from the receipt at the Embassy.

Please submit the required information within thirty (30) days of this letter or risk refusal of your application for non-compliance.

You should not make any irrevocable plans to travel to Canada until you are in possession of your CPRs.
