Hi,

my timeline: AOR received from CIO 15th March 2013. I am AINP FSW. I dont know my visa office yet but I am a Dubai resident.

- does it matter what has been indicated on the application form where asked about the "visa office"? does it give a sort of preference or will it be absolutely the CIC discretion to decide every applicants visa office? do they decide on the basis of your residency address at all?

- how to find out your visa office. is there any way to write them? I know its tooooo early, but any point in writing to CIO? or can we write to VO?

- those who have received MR, would you be so kind pls to advise what is your eCAS NOW? has it been changed to "in process"?

thanks in anticipation

(a.) Yes it does on most occasions for Inland applicants but since you are outland you will get ADVO assuming that's the VO serving your country.
(b.) What did your AOR email say ?
(c) Nothing changes with Medical received on ECAS...only after you are done with it and CIC reviews it goes to Medical received.

Guys,
Please I need your help in this issue.

My PR application is in LVO and still I did not receive any Medical request from their side.

I have received a support letter previously for 2-years work permit in Ontario.

I want to take advantage of this letter, so if I go to Canada do I have to transfer my file from LVO to other visa office??
and if so, can it affect the status of my PR application negatively??

Thanks guys for your assistance.

Hi aman,

i have exactly same case as yours for my wife. I just want to know how you did apply your wife's visitor visa?

thanks,

jay

HI Jay,

Sorry for the late reply. I have been really busy, showing things around here to my wife.

I applied for her visitor visa, and she already had a 6 month UK Visitor visa that she never used, and I strongly believe that it played a major role in it. Now I have also seen some friends getting visitor visa for their wives without any previous visa on their passport which gives you a hope.

I wrote on the letters that I have never overstayed my limits in Canada, never involved in any criminal activity and haven't got a chance to spend some good time with my wife, So I would like to request a visa for her. I wrote all her and mine information down including PR file #. I also showed enough funds in my account to prove that I can support her. One more thing that I wrote on the invitation letter was that I personally guaranteed that my wife would return to India before the expire of her visa. You can also explain that you are awaiting results on Permanent residence and will respect the decision irrespective of the results. I also provided a copy of our marriage certificate mentioning our wedding anniversary on July 9th and requested them to grant a visa so we could celebrate it together. Even though they granted a visa one week after July 9th, they did it. If possible make up something that satisfies them that your wife deserves to be in Canada. Please let me know, if you need something else.

Thanks,

Aman Singh

Hi guys,
I am new here, a quick question, will CIC send RPRF email if you paid RPRF without request? Or they just inform you the application has been transfer to Ottawa?
Seems westzhu did it and IP on June 21, did you get RPRF email or other messages?

Thanks all.

Did anyone else get "Decision Made" or PPR yet?????

Nothing yet but I am sure everyone has their eye's wide open. Looking at the Jan batch trend.. this weekend or next should bring in PPR's. Most of them got it in clusters and on Saturday's, wish the same happens for us.
