Why did they ask for documents after showing in process for your application?
I heard they dont ask after In process.

Well im not quite sure why, last Feb 2013 we send the application to Nova Scotia with our Uae police clearance so by now its expired reason they want the updated one. I receive the email requesting additional documents same day the status online has been changed to " in process " that's last july 15 so i think its a good sign of progress.

Hi,

my timeline: AOR received from CIO 15th March 2013. I am AINP FSW. I dont know my visa office yet but I am a Dubai resident.

- does it matter what has been indicated on the application form where asked about the "visa office"? does it give a sort of preference or will it be absolutely the CIC discretion to decide every applicants visa office? do they decide on the basis of your residency address at all?

- how to find out your visa office. is there any way to write them? I know its tooooo early, but any point in writing to CIO? or can we write to VO?

- those who have received MR, would you be so kind pls to advise what is your eCAS NOW? has it been changed to "in process"?

I applied in February but I sent my PCC from Pakistan after I got AOR. But they ask me to submit PCC from UK and Pakistan as well.
I never sent PCC from UK before but I was wondering why did they ask PCC from Pakistan.

Anyway, I sent email to CPP and asked why do they need PCC from Pakistan and beside waiting for reply I continued to process for PCC from Pakistan and uk. After a month when I already sent PCC from both countries then they replied me that It was their mistake so don't worry about Pakistan's PCC and just send UK's PCC.

I already wasted time just because of their mistake

I am a phd student here (Canada) and my wife is accompanying me. She has work permit and a permanent full time job.
We applied under PNP (AINP) on Feb 2013. She is the main applicant.

Last week we just receive an email from CIC asking about my phd thesis, supervisors, cv and list of any publications.
Is anybody here with the same experience?
Why are they asking these? How important are these info? Will they contact my supervisors or the university?

The reason I am asking is that I just withdraw from the program and I am applying for another program in another university.

Our timeline:
Nomination: 25-12-2012
App received by CIC: 14-02-2013
Medical: 02-04-2013

Does your wife has her work permit based on your study permit ? If yes, then have you notified CIC on your withdrawal plans from university ? The study permit is linked to acceptance from university, in case you are moving you will have to get changes integrated. Anyways, you should send what CIC is asking for.

please i want to ask (when and how should i inform my Visa office about my new baby?? )
i have her birth certificate issued but her passport will be ready within 3 to 4 weeks..
i tried to use case inquiry on Cic web site but i think it is for inside Canada applicants only,because when i tried to fill the form i couldn't find a selection for permanent residence request from outside.

Not sure but looks like a notification got triggered from University to CIC.
