yes mars spreadsheet still hidden
i think the problem can be solved by these steps done by the owner:
1- file / share
2- from who can access section choose : Anyone who has the link can view
3- done
so when the owner provide u with the spreadsheet u can freely view it without permissions
but only the owner and the helping editor can change values or edit
