Tracking PNP December 2012 applications to CIO Nova Scotia

hi guys

I have asked the bank middle of last week. draft is still outstanding. it is not yet cashed.
bank says there is a "15 days processing time" for international checks so all i can do is wait

olansky has the same mode of payment as mine, maybe when he gets an update, i'll call the bank again to check if they have good news for me

I asked my bank(twice already) where I bought my bank draft and they told me that the branch will be the last one to know once the draft has been negotiated already and cleared. I worked in banking industry before and as far as I can recall.. the clearing of international bank draft is between the corresondent bank and the local bank.. meaning the counterpart bank will just notify our local bank and if it its a funded draft then it will be automatically cleared on Canadian Immigration's end. The reconciliation between correspondent bank and our our local bank is between 15 to 20 days and with that being said.. maybe our bank draft has already been negotiated and cleared before our branch of account(where we bought our draft) will know that it has been cleared.
I assume that they are processing payments in the same timeframe for those who paid via credit card. It just so happen that there is no way for us(bank draft payees ) to check the status of our payment real time.

Honestly, I am also excited to know whether my payment has been negotiated already or not.. but we should all be positive .. since we haven't receive our visa package back to us.... hopefully not....

Argghhh.. hate this feeling.. lol

Finger crossed... i mean not just crossed, it's already twisted due to this waiting game...lol.

File received at CIO NS Dec. 17. Mode of payment credit card. Still waiting to deduct on my CC.

Yes, you are definitely right. Applicants who paid using CC only have the privilege to monitor the encashment of the processing fee but the timeframe will be the same as to those who paid using bank draft.

Good luck to al of us, hoping that we'll get AOR soon.

I have noticed many posts from you on Dec and Jan specifically...really appreciate your efforts.
