Pilot Project to Print Confirmation of Permanent Residence (COPR) by the Case Processing Pilot-Ottawa (CPP-O)

Just saw this update on the CIC website and i deem it fit to share it with you,

Effective November 27, 2012, CPP-O will begin to print CoPR documents and permanent resident visa counterfoils (if required) for applications processed to finalization in that office.

CPP-O will appear as the issuing office on the documents.
The documents will be mailed to clients from Ottawa to addresses primarily within North America.

Visit http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/bulletins/2012/ob481.asp

I guess this should reduce the processing time for In-Canada applicant by 1-2months.

All the best to us ALL.

Hi wewang,

You can see the time lines of your Visa Office from the below link. What's your VO actually? The time period that shows here starts from the Lock-In date of your application...Lock-In date is mostely your date of AOR.

Thanks,
Sarayu.

That's great news, thanks for sharing! How are things going with your file processing? I see that you did your medical over a month ago, are you expecting them to be received soon?

The message it not for only about us that have done our medicals, it for those that are still awaiting medicals from there VO or awaiting CIC to receive their medicals. 11 months processing is not for everyone that applied to Ottawa, some of use will get PPR earlier before that while some wont. It a case to case basis.

All the best to us all..

I hope so, the last time I spoke with an agent she said that our files will only be transfered to Ottawa for Visa stamping that all, so I guess CIO will do all d checks needed.
