You can still count extra chunks of days towards the total 1460 within the last 6 years with conjunction of 4 years with at least 183 days.
Much easier compared to the current old rules

That is the better solution rather the current old mess system where you can stay many years in the unknown while your file collects dust of somebody's desk.

I would be eligible to apply under the new rules shortly after the new rules comes in effect, but I am not in hurry to apply right now because my native citizenship is giving me the same benefits like the Canadian.

Instead of waiting for one more year to apply why not do it now. Also I posted one of friends application. He needs the citizenship to actually apply for the job he wants.

All the way from the west just to get the very same citizenship like those who will apply under the new rules.

Oh yes, I forgot about that the citizenship might help the people to be eligible to apply and stay in the conventional working system.

I am out from that slavery working system for almost 8 years.

I applied yesterday with 1096 days of physical residence. Application received at Sydney by Lewis just now

I sent my second application yesterday morning because some mistakes made in the first application, and it was delivered today at 12h51 local time by Purolator, signed by Lewis of CIC. I appreciate the job of Purolator, even it's owned by Canada Post.

Well, if your application can arrive the CIC office in Sydney by June 10th before the closing of work then you will be fine, but if NOT then you will only be eligible to apply maybe NEXT YEAR. Fastest shipping depending on location might be around 300$ - 600$ so be aware of that.

Nope I already checked with CIC and they confirmed that all the applications which they receive today before 4 will falls under old rules. so yes Allah is the best Chao
